Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Been paying £61.50 for Sky TV until I cancelled a few days ago because it was going up to £105 next month.
Current TV package:
Entertainment £25
Sky Kids £2
Sky Sports £15
Skys Sports HD £2
Sky Cinema £6
Sky HD £4
Multiscreen £7.50
Total = £61.50
I was offered £72 during the cancellation chat a few days ago which I declined and initiated the cancellation.
Just had a call back from retentions/winback offering:
Signature £19 (does not include Netflix, so +£6 if I want it)
Sky Kids £3
Sky Sports £10 (no mention of Sky Sports HD, so will check this)
Sky Cinema £12
Sky HD £5
Multiscreen £5
Total = £54.00
It is for 18 months and it is less than what I've been paying. There was no mention of any admin charges - I have not accepted yet but will get a follow-up call this evening to if I'm willing to accept it.
Any thoughts on if this is the best available or if I could get it lower?

I recently reviewed our account with Sky which is coming to an end on the contract.
Signature - £34
HD - £8
UHD - £4
Multiscreen - £15
Ultimate Add-on - £6
Total of £67, an increase from £37.50 previously.
Asked for renewal offers - none of them which were below £50. So cancelled it altogether.
Signed up to Sky Stream under son's name, on a 31-day rolling basis and with £50 gift card. I am told Stream includes HD as standard.
Signature (inc netflix) - £24
Will see how we get on with the Netflix 1 screen plan and using TalkTalk TV for £5 for the second TV room.0 -

I'm in my early 30's and even reading the 'bargains' cited above of ~£50 a month has me wincing in disbelief.
For that you could buy Netflix (£7), Disney+ (£8), Amazon Prime Video (£9), ITVX/BritBox (£6), Hulu (£6), HBO Max (£10) and still have the money left over for my avocado on toast.
Sky is notorious for taking advantage of customers (isn't that the whole reason this thread exists) and despite most service providers adopting apps on modern smart TV's for a few years now, Sky has had to be dragged kicking and screaming even to begin moving away from the physical box and satellite dish installations of the past few decades (and even still decided to reinvent their cash grab scheme in Sky Glass).
There's no reason why the Sky Go app couldn't have been pre-installed on TV's years and years ago with all the other service providers, except as a means to justify their incredibly high pricing. It's just more of the same with them.3 -
Just over a month to go before my contract is up and I do the cancellation dance with them again... and today I get an email saying they are extending my current offers for another year.
Well pardon my cynicism, but that just cements in my mind that I'm already paying too much (£89/month for TV only but basically everything they have) - I've attached a breakdown, would appreciate any suggestions of where there is 'fat' to target when I call them... specifically looking at BT Sport at £25! Signature also looks chunky but possibly because it has Netflix included? If I could get this below £75 overall then I'd see it as a decent win...Thanks

My Sky TV was cancelled three weeks ago and I've returned my Sky Q box and 2 mini boxes.
I received a call today where I was offered "60% off", abeit with inflated prices to start with.
They made me an offer for Sky Q (Signature, Kids, Sports - Complete Pack, Cinema, Sports HD, HD, Multiscreen, Ultra HD) for £53 a month + £10 admin fee with £90 account credit. Free main box and one mini box and suggested I could use the account credit for the second mini box. 18 month contract.
The equivalent Sky Stream package (including ad fast forwarding) was £52 a month with two pucks and £90 account credit - possibly a £10 admin charge but can't quite remember. 18 month contract.
Anyway, the F1 starts again this weekend so I went for the Sky Stream offer. I can't be bothered to reinstall the Sky Q boxes (my TVs are wall mounted and the sky boxes were on brackets behind which I've already removed. Plus I wanted UHD in a second room which is not possible with Sky Q.

Bit of a bizarre experience this weekend when making my once every 18 month call to Sky.
Currently, for £89.50 I get Sky Q with:
Sky Signature
Ultimate TV Add-on
Sky Kids
Sky Sports HD
Multiscreen
Ultra HD
Sky Broadband Superfast (80mpbs where I live)
Next month, that is due to go up to an eye-watering £148.50.
First call, the first-line operator (sounded like a non-UK call centre) offered me the same package for £129 with £20 "admin fee". I politely declined and asked to speak to retentions. The Scottish gentleman then offered me the same for £103.50 with a £20 admin fee. When I then enquired about upping the broadband to Ultrafast, this was reduced to £92 for 151mbps or £100 for 500mbps. The sticky point for me as the £30 admin fee so I said I'd shop around and get back to them.
On the second call, I decided to try and see what prices I'd get for TV only and suggested I'd switch the broadband elsewhere. Once I'd battled my way back to hearing a Scottish accent, for TV only I was quoted at £81 so this wasn't going to save me any money shifting the broadband elsewhere. I then enquired again about the 500mbps broadband with everything else I currently have, this time I was quoted £104... Not wanting to pay more for what I'd been quoted a few hours earlier we were at a sticking point again.
A day later, I called back, rejected the first offer by first-line again (£128 this time) in order to speak to retentions. Being a Sunday, I guess this isn't then diverted to Scotland as a side note! This time the best deal for my current package plus the 500mpbs line was £107 so up again on the previous offer - still at sticking point.
So moral of the story, it looks like they are pushing the Ultrafast and there may be deals working out cheaper than Superfast if this helps anyone. However, it looks like the prices either change by the hour or different call handlers get different discounts in front of them.1 -

My Sky TV contract is up now and on the basis I'd received an email from them on the 30 March to say my discounts had been extended for another 12 months, I'd hoped I'd avoid the normal renegotiation "dance" with Sky for a little while anyway. Am glad I checked my upcoming bills as it's going up from £64 to £86. When I spoke with Live Chat yesterday, they had no knowledge of any such deals being offered via email. Long story short, I've lodged my 30 day notice period and will see what phone calls, etc are forthcoming. Just interested in whether anyone else got that email - pretty disingenuous to make that offer to people and then (a) not apply it and (b) have no knowledge of it. Cheers.0
