Well, my 12 month contract is over (Sky+ box, Entertainment, Box Sets and HD for £20)
I went on Messenger to the help desk and got offered the same for £21 per month for 18 months ...........:( :(
I tried to get them to add a SIM only contract to make a bundle but they ignored it ....Didn't even mention it in fact...
Cancelled contract as I've done before and will keep people informed of what happens :)

A short time till cut off and my latest online offer has come down to £15 Entertainment, £1 each for Box sets and HD (£17 total) and for 12 months too.
Gonna wait it out for a while longer and have a phone conversation nearer the end day !

    Hi,
Been with Sky for 18 years go through the same process every year cancel etc then i get deals and offers via the app however this year nothing has happened.
My last deal i was paying (probably still too much ) £41pm this included entertainment package, sports/movies, HD, box sets. My deal then went up to £82pm so i done the cancellation, my contract expires on the 28/8/19 i have heard nothing, i rang them before also on the chat the best they would do was £52pm for the package i have told them to forget it. I don't have B/B with them, any advice etc.
Feels like because i have done it several times before they are letting me cancel this time without any offers.

Are your contact preferences switched on? Check your account online to make sure they can legally contact you (by email, text, phone, mail).

The best existing customers deals are the 40-50% off on retentions.
Check these links for *your* best deal to stay as the prices might be different (and take screen grabs so you can prove it to the sky team on live chat).
    Sky.com/mydeal
    Sky.com/keepskytv

Check your interactive tv messages to see if there are deals on your tv (interactive > manage your account > my details and messages > enter pin > (then follow the link to *read* and take a picture of the deal).

Do all of your final negotiations online with them on chat. You might have to upload those pics and screen grabs as proof:
    sky.com/live-chat/comeback

    Or...
Do you live with someone else in the household who is not a customer (payer) already?

Perhaps they could see if a better deal is available for them as a new customer?

Whilst the best new customer deal is 40% off for friends and family - perhaps you should check google, online forums and Facebook for friendly staff wanting to offload any of their unused codes (seeing as it’s almost the end of the month):
    Search the marketplace. And or:
Search ‘sky f&f’ or ‘sky friends and family’.

The “new customer” should use a pc to sign up and may need to use the online chat function when they sign up as they may be initially blocked (“you are already a customer”) but there is a workaround.

Thank 'ecraig', the 2 links you put on mysky/mydeal and mysky/keepskytv, i logged in and on the 2nd one initially best they would do for everything was £52pm, i tried the 1st link and built my own package entertainment, sky sports, movies, hd, box sets which is what i have now for £39pm on a 12 mth deal.
Great advice from you, i would have ended up either paying the £52 to keep it or cancelled it.

Blimey, turn your back on this thread for a few months and suddenly you realise how royally you're getting shafted by Sky... I was supposedly on a 'roll' of an existing decent deal I'd negotiated but it's just expiring, and the full TV package with movies/sports/box sets/HD and Q Multiroom is now hitting £77.50 - sounds like I should get that down to about £50ish without too much effort... will report back when I have a moment...

i was in the cancellation period and just managed to get sky experience, Ultimate on demand (nefflix) all of the sports channels, entertainment, kids and boxsets for £65 per month on an eighteen month contract but it was hard work
  • Usual time of haggling.

    I’m at:

    Entertainment £20
    Kids/box sets/hd £3
    Sports £16
    Cinema £9

    Total £48

I’ve tried to get more as I see ent for £15 with some. They’re saying it’s when having less packages e.g. no sports etc.

Do you think I’d get anymore off?

Also inc sky Q as we don’t have that currently.

    Ta
  • After a week of haggling in cancellation period I'm making a mental note never to do it this way again.

After MUCH back and forth, live chats to phone chats, retentions to win back and every other department I can conclude the system is absolute random and by their own admission, pants.

    Gold VIP Member, this is what I ended up with;

    Sky Entertainment
    Sky Sports Pack HD
    Box Sets
    Kids
    HD
    Q Experience (multi room)

Free Sky Q2TB Upgrade free install
    Free Multi-room Box free install

    £48 p/m 18 months

    Sky Superfast Broadband (top one)
    Line Rental
    Pay as you talk
    Boost

    £25 p/m 18 months

It's funny because this is all active now and I have an offer to reduce something by £1 per month and Ultimate (netflix) upgrade for £0 (latter being one month only)

So, settled on £59.50/month for 12 months. Yes I know I could have pushed for a bit more, but I didn't actually have to cancel to get this so it was a pretty decent low effort result. Comes a point where my time is worth far more than what it would take to get a few more quid off!
  • So,

    I’ve been offered £34 for

    All apart from cinema.

Couldn’t swing free multi room without an extra £13 a month.

    Sound ok?
