    I'm about 6 months into an 18 month contract and would like to add Sky Q Experience with 1 Mini Box and upgrade my 1TB box to 2TB.

    I have an offer through the My Sky App, which is a free Mini Box and £50 to upgrade my main box from 1TB to 2TB. £13 per month.

    I'm just conscious this comes with an 18 month contract, so I'm guessing after the 12 months is up on my current winback deal, I could end up paying full price for the remaining 6 months of the Q Experience contract.

    Not sure if it would be worth trying to contact Retentions in this scenario to see if they could review everything now? I'm happy with the deal, I'm just worried they could play hard ball after the 12 months is up on my existing contract.

    I currently pay £45.19 per month:
    £14.20 - Entertainment
    £12 - Ultimate On Demand
    £8 - Sky Cinema
    £1 - HD
    £9.99 - Spotify

    Entertainment package, sky movies, sly sports, HD £38 per month after cancelling for three months, all turned back on ready for football season next week.

  • Phoned today to enquire about reducing my bill and adding some extras:

    The best the save team could offer was:

    Entertainment = £22
    Kids = £5
    HD = £5
    Boxsets = £5
    Sports = £23
    Sky Q Experience = £13
    Fibre = £27

    Total £100 per month (although they said £90 per month), no mention of one off fees.

    £30 (or £20) more expensive a month but gain Sports, Q & faster BB.

    Ideally I'd like that down further, does anyone know if I can shave another £20-30 off?

    Thanks

    I rang today, I think this is what they offered me.

    Entertainment = £22
    HD = £5
    Boxsets & Netflix £12
    Sky Q = £13
    Movies - £10

    Total £62

    I don’t think this is great is it.

    Are you out of contract? If so, Tell them you're thinking of leaving and they should offer you something like Entertainment for £15, HD for £1, Boxsets for £1. That's what you want to aim for.

    Thanks redmalc, I managed to get it down to £75 with no major set up one time only fees other than an admin fee of £10. I might have managed to squeeze another fiver off as Boxsets are £5 and HD is £4 but I was on the phone about an hour and at the end of the day I'm gaining fibre, Q multi-room and Sports while paying the same, I'm happy with that plus my wee boy will be chuffed he can watch football whenever he wants!

    Thanks again
  • I rang yesterday to reduce my current package. We were paying £102.49 for the following: Fibre broadband, unlimited landline calls, sky entertainent + box sets + HD + kids channel + sky sports cricket (got it for £10 during the world cup).

    After speaking to them for an hour it reduced down to £65 but this did NOT include the cricket or kids channel. They also said they will replace our current HD box with the new Sky Q box.

    I decided to cancel as ive heard they offer 50% after you do that but havent recieved anything yet. Was this the right move? im worried they wont offer anything anymore lol
