Been unhappy with my deal for a while and spoke with Sky via chat today as out of contract and want to cancel.

    Current package;

    Box Sets - £31.12
Sky Sports Complete Pack - £21.00
    HD Basic - £0
    Sky Sports HD - £6.00
    Sky+ - £0
    TOTAL - £58

I don't have Sky Q, multi-room, movies. A few friends pay £60 - £65 for pretty much full whack Sky Q package so I'm getting my pants pulled down for what I get.

Best they could do was £77 a month for Sky Q with Entertainment, Box Sets, Netflix, HD and Sports with £65 set up and a £10 admin fee. I said no thanks and have processed cancellation today.

Infuriates me how they even attempt to price their products when no one is paying the same amount for anything. Unless I get a pretty decent deal I'll see through the cancellation as just about had it with Sky. Customer for 10+ years.

Are there any offers when you go to the www.sky.com/mydeal page?

I am about 8 days from cancellation and have been offered on the My deal page Entertainment £15, Cinema £10, Box sets £1, HD £1 and I want multiroom at £13 (no deals on this) but broadband unlimited (can't get fibre) and phone is over £25 including line rental but no calls.
Anyone had offers for broadband unlimited & phone cheaper than £25 recently? - if I've got no chance then I may aswell accept.

Was on a deal for 2 years there.
All TV, variety, kids, music, news, movies, sports.
No multiroom, no internet, no boxsets.
    For £36 a month.
Deal ended back to my ‘normal price’ of an eye watering £81.50 a month!

Went on chat today and same channels but without kids they offered £49 a month.
I refused and told them to cancel.

When I go through to Sky.com/mydeal I can get the same now but with box-sets for £39 a month which isn’t too bad.

Still considering just cancelling it all though. Not sure whether it’s even needed anymore.
I also have Netflix and Amazon Prime.
My 6 year old son watches YouTube 99% of the time.

Game of Thrones is the only show I’ve consistently been watching and that’s ending in 2 weeks.
Would miss some of the football but most of the matches are poor enough anyway unless you support 2-3 of the top teams in England.
Any good films that come on I’ll have already seen at the cinema and bought the BluRay anyway.

    BT also have football too.
Something to ponder over the next month.

    Current offer after ‘leaving’ is:

    Entertainment: £15 a month
    Sports + Movies: £22 a month
    Boxsets: £1 a month
    HD: £1 a month

Took a bit of back and fore but I got:

    Online my deal offer:
    Entertainment £15
    Box sets £1
    Cinema £10
    HD £1

Then on live chat I took an offer of: £21 for sky talk/Broadband unlimited/line rental

Couldn't see how to add my daughter's multiroom back on, so rang and was offered Sky Q for a one off fee of £30 and £13 a month - includes new hub, 2TB box, Mini box for daughter's room. No change to discounts already applied to TV or broadband/phone.

Debating whether to add ultimate on demand now

Left sky 4 months ago and have been offered entertainment for £11 a month and sky sports for £17 a month for 12 months. Kids channels for £2 a month and Cinema for £10 a month. Would only be interested in entertainment and sports so £28 a month is very tempting.

I have a sky connection in my spouse name (for around 1.5-2 years) and i would like to cancel it and buy on my name, the intention being:

    * getting new sky boxes.
    * getting connection to my room upstairs as currently its provided for the ground floor 2 tvs.

please would you suggest how should i go about getting a good bargain.

So your are going to be paying £10 per month less than what you are on now for the the same deal/package which is good. Most people who call to getter a better deal often pay more that their current deal anyway.

You can put in to cancel and see if anything gets offered but looking at this forum site and 2 others i go on it appears that sky are playing very hard ball with existing clients.
  • Seems that way. They weren't trying very hard to convince me to stay. I have a family member who works in the call center in retentions and said the deal looks good. May just go ahead with it.

The above for a new customer comes to £61.50 for separate packages or £59 when taking the combined TV/Fibre package so I'd say it's not brilliant TBH. Do you know what the breakdown of the charges are?
