We're moving in the next 2-3 months (don't know where yet) and I don't know what's available or the speeds we'll get so I'll let Sky pay for the free move and new set-up, keep my phone number and then look at the offers from everybody.
Beware of the house move with sky, when I did it 3 years ago the said it's not possible to keep the previous phone number. I had to have a new one, that didn't impress me either.
Whether that's still the case I don't know.0 -
Here's an odd one; I gave 30 days notice to cancel Sky TV (my cheap deal was ending) and the cut off date was November 4th (I've confirmed that the final payment has been paid and my account is now showing me as being an ex customer) but currently everything is still working (I had/have the full package) - if I choose Sky Cinema it shows me as a non subscriber but if I just scroll down the complete channel list and choose a channel its all still working (and still in HD) - anyone else had this 'problem' and how likely is it to last? Btw I've installed Chromecast as a back up and streaming Now TV, various Catchups, BT sport, you tube and Netflix through my chromebook works like a dream!0

Does Sky 1 work (106) as you need a subscription for that. Have you tried recording a show?
I've come across customers at work (not Sky) who have had our channels for months and sometimes years (literally) after our system shows them cancelled down so it's quite possible that the Sky automated system hasn't sent the correct signal to disable it.0 -

If you move to a new residence on a different exchange then nobody can let you keep your previous number as they are exchange specific.
Also, if the old number wasn't originally Sky's (ie had originally been ported from BT,Virgin etc) then it will be returned to its original owner under normal circumstances.0 -
I'm after a little advise. Currently two weeks in from cancelling Sky Q (Got a black friday deal last year). Was fuming they'd upped me to £86 a month from December without so much as a letter advising me. So far they've offered 30% online saving and when I went on Live Chat I was offered 40%. Have held my nerve so far and wondered what someone with more experience of this than me would do at this point.
Thanks.0 -

My sister, knowing she was due to move last month, left PlusNet for Sky as it was a good offer and Sky would cost less for the move. However, she later found out that she couldn't keep her number, though move was just a few houses up her road. There were special circumstances, though, as the occupier of the new house didn't have a landline.0 -

They used to charge you for full price days beyond cut off, leaving you to reclaim, but now they work your last bill so it ends on cut off day.
My bill date is November 15th and cut off is due on 18th, so I have a bill for just 4 days at discount rate (or should have ,as they have added 19th at full price, but a phone call put it right).
I'll probably show as 'ex' after 15th.
By the way, check your bill only goes to and includes your last day, because, this is the second billing error I've had since August.0 -

Thanks.
I was offered 50% off on cancellation and told the offer holds (had a 50% off letter too), but 30% shows on the tv based account0 -
My current offer ends Christmas Eve. Called today about a new deal. Got 40% off box sets and movies for 18 months (with an admin charge! Any lines I give for not paying this?)
However only £5 off fibre! Now online it was half price but that's till 29 when plusnet is 25.
That was on the text. Is it worth leaving it a few days for 50%? As I know we won't actually leave. Just push it to the limit. But fibre, if I tell them plusnet is 25 will they knock it down further?
Also where in the box settings are the offers? Not sure where I'm lookingThe will to save every money saving penny we can0 -
