Got the call yesterday and was offered 100mb for £28 which I declined, so was offered 50mb for £23 with two months free which I accepted, so works out at just over £19 - still waiting for the confirmation email but the credit has already been applied to my account :)

Was this £23 for Fibre AND line rental ?

  • Currently have basic package - weekend calls, player TV and up to 100MBpS broadband, package is£49.46. Out of contract

Last week I phoned and was offered £42, same package.

This week I phoned and offer is down to £36. Result!! Saves me £160 a year.

12 month contract, price valid for 18 months

I accepted £21.08 a month from Retentions for 50mb bb.

It took retebtions a week to call from disconnecting, definitely worth web chat to confirm they have your correct mobile number. BT infinity plus MasterCard offer and TCB worked out at £19. So I'll cancel that in cooling off period.

Anyone happen to know if I'll be eligible for BT new customer deals and TCB in future if cancelling in cooling off period ?

I will be doing this later/tomorrow.

Paying £33 for 50Mb BB and talk weekend (I don't have a house phone).

Will definitely check they have my mobile (I never had callback last time and was 3 hours away from being cut off). Do you know what number they ring from? I want to ensure they are not on my block list.

I don't want anything extra, just want to pay cheaper.

EDIT: Trying to do the webchat now but there is no option for it:

To get web chat just click on another option on their help page that has the button.

    They rung me from 08004089340.

Currently have: Base TV / 70mb Broadband / Phone - Anytime

    Paying - £52.20

Called retentions and offered Base TV / 20mb Broadband (capped 30GB month) / Phone - Anytime

is this any good compared to what other people getting?
(not fussed about the capping and speed as its only old folks browsing)

    Thanks

UPDATE: just got a call back and they offered further £30 cashback

    TOTAL Monthly Cost : £36.50

Currently got the Full House (XL) package with Vivid 200 fiber option broadband, talk weekends and telephone rental for £35 per month. About to jump to £79.99.

Exactly the same thing will happen with me next month.
    Have phoned VM up.

They have offered the V.I.P at £88. Same for new customers :(
Being passed onto retentions now :rotfl:

  • I'm just ending a 12 month discount of £35 a month for 200mb unlimited broadband, the XL TV package with BT Sport and phone with weekend calls. I rang up and they offered the same for £45 a month.
Yes it's more than I'm paying now but it's still a good deal and their broadband is excellent. It also saves me the hassle of cancelling or changing provider.
