yes. Can only deal with you if you have put in cancellation first. Edit this seems to have changed as I just called them and because we were in last few weeks of contract, they offered deals, not as good as online offer though

I posted a similar deal for £51/mo back in January (though without TNT sports & the £50 credit) so it seems very believable to me. Well done on a good deal mits999. It often surprises me that people are happy to settle on paying more for less.

I got M250 plus landline with anytime calls for £20/month without even giving my notice, just suggested it. 😊
All done with just one call to 150.

thank you bobblueuk, just for reference I did not put in notice to cancel, I was in month 17 of my 18 month contract, I also made a few calls the males offered the best deals, so avoid the females at all cost I also asked for £100 credit but settled on £50 and new contract is 24 months

they being calling my dad directly, he has about a month to go, he’s not answered them yet, I’ll deal with them next week. Odd that they being proactive. I guess it’s partly to do with him still using TiVo aswell

Very believable. I was paying similar last year, £55 I think. Bizarrely the deal was lot cheaper than just having sports, all very odd. You have to negotiate after cancelling and mits999 is very good and knowledgeable about how far they can go

Was paying £73.50pm. Renewal due September. Last month Offered £77 or £65 if dropped to 500mb. Then offer dropped to £65 with no changes. Then £55. No negotiating, just waited and kept logging in to check offers!

I suspect the offer would not have gone any lower though, as in between accepting £55 and awaiting for the contract to be uploaded/confirmed, I saw an offer, but back up to £68pm?

No cash credit but I've renewed nearly 3 months early at less than I pay now, so I will take that all day long!

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has purely renewed by taking the digital offer, and left it very late, and it worked out ok.

I had 500Mbps BB and a Stream box from them and their "Your offers" page when approaching end of term only ever gave me a "Whoops, something went wrong!" message every single time.

funnily enough was looking at my dads this morning, he’s in the last month and his offer is £15 a month less than he’s paying now and an increase from 250mb to 350mb bb. Bigger combo and sports with tnt £61.55. Am sure a month or so ago it was at the £75 mark. He’s also getting daily calls from 0203 743 6966 which if you ring is a virgin number.. he hasn’t answered them though

just rang the retentions 6970 number to test mits999 theory, female answered offered £74, rang back mins later on same number, male answered £67! At this point the online offer was £61.55.

THURS edit..one day later the online offer has increased to £68!

FRI edit.. to highlight the madness of the system, called again today to the 6970 number, Scottish lady offered £72 for same package, so called the 6966 number that’s been calling my dad a lot and he been ignoring. They were in the Philippines and she was offering 1 gb mega volt for £82, so immediately called back the 6970 to be offered £66 adding Netflix to my dad’s current package. In the end took that as he’s happy as keeps all,his sports and gains Netflix and saves £10 a month, but just highlights ringing the same number, you don’t get offered the same prices.
