got through within minutes to be fair, although it took nearly 30 minutes on the Phone.
currently paying £20 for M250 Broadband only (with Volt/O2 add on included) was going up to £27.
Initial offer was 3 months reduced to £16, then £23 a month
Thanks but No thanks.
oh hold on, I'll just check a few other options there are then.
Next offer, 3 months reduced to £16, then £21.40 a month (So, only an increase of £1.40 Sir)
Thanks, but no thanks I'll give you 30 days cancellation notice.
OK I'll transfer you to cancelations
*i went from a UK contact centre to a foreign contact centre then.
straight away they offered to waive any increase and stick with the £20.
took longer waiting for her to update details then anything else.
requested and was told I would get a copy of a new/updated contract confirming details.
also mentioned the fact this call is being recorded, yeah.
Overall very pleased with myself.
got my revised contract through over the weekend
it now states I will be paying £13 a month and not the £20 as agreed.
talk about mega happy, looks like the extra please wait whilst |I sort this for you on the phone has paid off
Having revived my latest/new bill since speaking to Virginmedia (see above) My bill is for £20
yet the contract they sent me stated £13 a month.
although it should of stated £20.
ahh well suppose I've avoided any increases anyway0 -
Just been offered 33 quid for 250 volt and mix it tv package along with weekend calls for the landline
i am actually quite tempted by that just to avoid having to Wait 30 days to negotiate with retentions hmmm
I’ll probably still cancel
how do virgin install the 360 do they come with an engineer or is it a customer installation now ?
i have previously had virgin tv so i believe I already have all the right connections
what do people think about the deal i know i could probably get maxit for the same price which would be my preference
Update
During the conversation i was then offered 28 for 250 mb volt with mixit and weekend calls turned it down though so i will see what retentions offer but I’d happily take the 28 quid offer but think i can squeeze either more channels or more speed for that price
what do people think ?0 -

Got my first retentions call today was offered 33 for 250mb and mixit landline which was more than the original offer of 28
Then he told me me that he could do me my current speed of 250 for 23 quid or 29.99 for 500mb which is rather tempting
if i added mixit it would be 33 with landline which made me wonder why his original offer 33 for 250mb and mixit lol
to add maxit to the 500mb it would be 52
I’m quite tempted by the 33 quid for 500mb mixit and landline so I’ll see what offers they next give me if any
Btw Thanks for the replies i do think I’ll have to go above my 39 quid if i want maxit included which I’m not sure that i want to do

I'm due to be Volted next week hopefully, from VM 500mb-1GB via O2 handset+sim.
Is it possible to request hub.5 whilst avoiding new 18mth contract.
Only as I'm 1 year into fibre/tv/tel contract.
Currently find 500mb very stable including Pod.
Rather keep options open if maybe Stream becomes option for existing customers.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0
