Let's see what I'm offered tomorrow...1 -
Phoned up earlier to give 30 days notice etc due to email regarding price rise and the fact my current discount was due to end at the end of April.
currently paying £24 for 100MB BB, with P/I of £3.50 from 1.Mar, then loss of discount at the end of April I would of been paying £45 (NOT)
anyway phoned up the standard 0345 number, just over 30 minutes on hold, explained my situation and what I was looking to pay for either Sky/BT (£18-20) first offer was same deal for £27, turned that down pointing out my £18-20 (after cashback etc) with Sky/BT she then came back with £23 for 18 months and NO price increase in March.
Happy with that paying less than current deal now, would of liked it for £20 ish etc but I'll stick at £23

Ok good, £23 is my benchmark then... (currently on £22 for 100mb and weekend calls, but going to £42 in a month when out of contract).
I've never failed to get a good retention deal with Virgin in 15 years, but it can take a bit of effort. Will report back where I get to.0 -
I got offered 26 for 100 + weekend calls which I ended up taking.
As they are all working from home there is a lot of faffing around and I've had a number of people call me from retentions during the day... so plenty of offers to be had it seems.0 -
Not sure if I should post this here, but possibly something to watch out for..
I put in a request to leave VM broadband for this week on the 12th, due to the price increase. Eventually received a 'don't leave' email on the 3rd, £27 100M, Offer is available for one week from receipt of email.
I waited until the 6th to agree to the deal, was approved in the evening, new contract sent on the 7th. Annoyingly the contract had changed to £31 a month.
I did call, and submitted a complaint, as the advisor did not have access to any outbound emails. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what was the outcome?

no doubt I would of liked to get in down to £18-20 a month, but I thought £23 was a decent offer, I expected the first offer of £27 to be higher anyway.
also just to add, I was advised it may take up to 24 hours for my new contract to come through, I'm still awaiting for this.
however my online account and latest bill is showing the latest (new) price and future discounts until Aug2021.1 -
