Just extended it for an extra 7 days all he asked was why I wanted to extend it? Just said waiting for installation from my new provider.
  • Just called VM.

    Currently on Large TV
    50 MB broadband
    asian mela
    talk unlimited Phone
    Caller display
    Anonymous call blocking
    was £76 a month with £8 discount

contract expired this month and it went up to £84 a month

Called and said that I am out of contract. What is the best you can offer

    She offered:

    Full House TV
    VIVID 200 Broadband
    Talk More Anytime
    Tivo Box
    Asian Mela
    Caller Display
    Anonymous Caller Rejection

all for £75 a month on 12 month contract + 14.99 activation fee applied to next month bill
  • Cancelled my package which was going be close to £100 as have tv xl , 200mb broadband and medium phone package.

Got phone call today and the best they could offer was £57 , which is not too bad as that included line rental also.

I am still cancelling though as been offered a far better deal with Sky :)

Finally got my call back from retentions. I was going to cancel at least TV but I caved and took the deal.

For TV XL, 150 Broadband, Free anytime phone calls to landline and mobile and 6 months free Netflix and 2nd virgin box for the bedroom.
£52 for 4 months then £60 for the remaining 8 months - this includes line rental.

This was going to cost me around £80 a month without the Netflix including the price increase next month so I am happy.
    Feb £22,608, Weight 18st, 2 x cards, 2 x loans.

Hardly required...in the 2.5 years I had Virgin I had 3 opportunities to cancel mid contract due to price rises...so I wouldn't worry too much haha!

Seriously though my last renewal as on a 6 month minimum, 12 month deal with 18months of discounts added.

Still waiting for my call, ends 10/10/16, I just want 50Mb Broadband, I don't want to pay £31.25 which they offered on my call to them when others are getting much more services and not costing much more than mine!

Logging into Virgin to see if they have my mobile number (hope they not using the house phone number they give me years ago, don't have a house phone anymore).

    Right here goes
we have the Big Easy package here costs us £52.53 per month, and just received the letter to say that it's going up £3.49 per month from Nov.

Talk unlimited (needed cos elderly mother & disabled sister both live 100+ miles away, & no mobile signal in this house)
TV size M (basically the same as freeview) and a Tivo rental - Tivo really frustrating cos it's recently gone really slow
Vivid 100 fibre - we're all 3 internet users esp 17 y.o. son, so downgrading wouldn't go down well.

There is no other option for fast BB here, only VM cabling in the area.
So, what are my chances of getting some sort of deal ? Either a price reduction, or at least chuck us in the next level of TV for no extra money.

I've been holding on the phone to the CS line for 23 mins ...
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

    Talk Weekends
    TV Size M+
    1 additional v Box
    V Hd Monthly Fee
    Tivo Monthly Fee
    100 MB Broadband

Big Bang Bundle Total - £41.49

I pay line rental in advance.

They have offered me £34.50 for 6 mths then £37.50 for another 6 mths and £30 off next bill.

I reckon, I can get it less for that.

    What do you reckon?
  • Generally in the past I've not had any issues with these. Surely they would've all gone out now? I've not recieved one. Very strange, I haven't had an email either, but I'm not sure if it is just broadband only customers who would get notified this way?
