My cut off date is Monday and still not managed to speak to retentions, as I missed a few calls.
I expect I will have to ring up tonight to extend the cancellation by a month to give them more time to contact me.
Anyone have the number for the retention team as I have lost it off my phone and didn't write it down. Otherwise I will have to ring 150 and I know they won't give me a good deal, but by ringing retentions they might.Feb £22,608, Weight 18st, 2 x cards, 2 x loans.0 -
I understand you can log into your Virgin Media account and extend the cut off date yourself (so you don`t actually have to speak to them) think I will have to do this as at the moment am struggling to get a good deal with Sky.0

Hope that doesn`t happen to me when I try to extend0

Just gave them a phone call as my cancellation was Monday and I have missed a few calls from retentions. Hopefully they will get me sometime in the next month.
Might cancel some of my bundle if they don't come up with a good offer. Been a member for years and have to go through this hassle every year.
Cheaper broadband and phone from somewhere else and cheaper Now boxes maybe an option.Feb £22,608, Weight 18st, 2 x cards, 2 x loans.0 -
I have just checked my account and I do have to ring to reschedule our cancellation. Can I ask, did you extend by another month or was it less?
Thanks0 -

I'm out of contract with virgin but I have noticed they apply 18 month discounts which means when you come out of contract...you still have a further 6 months of discount. I have tried to cancel and get a better deal but they tell me that until the discount doesnt come off the account, they cant offer better deals - is this true? Should i still try my luck? Discount is on till January.
Its quite a clever thing Virgin have done because it also means for 6 months i will be paying the full line rental (whereas for 12 months i usually pay the line rental upfront using the line rental saver scheme)0
