Anyone with Giffgaff?
I am now considering Giff gaff as its been recommended to me by a friend. I am with Three now, contract ending soon and the best deal they can offer me for the S4 mini which I want is £19 per month for 1gb data and 300 mins and they tell me that at the moment I am using 1.5 gb of data so this deal won't be enough for me and I don't want to pay more than £20 if possible.
With Giff gaff I can pay £18 per month for 3gb data and 750 mins (including cost of the phone with £25 upfront). I am considering this now and wondering it will be worth it. Does anyone rate Giff gaff?

I have giffgaff and it's fine. Some people say their data speeds are poor though.
Get a free sim from giffgaff, register it with £10, and see what it's like before you commit yourself to a loan.0

I used to be with giffgaff and now with three as I get better coverage and unlimited data on 4G
Giffgaff were okay but as suggested try them before you commit to anything.0

Yes, in which case you carry on repaying the Ratesetter loan for the phone every month, but don't buy the monthly goodybag. Can one not commit himself to a loan with giffgaff, then, if needed, switch the network while keeping the loan?
There's no airtime contracts with giffgaff, just pay as you go with or without the goodybag bundles.
Giffgaff phones should be unlocked so you can use any sim from any network.0

Yes.All giffgaff phones are unlocked so you are free to move network whenever you like.0

I can't see that these changes have been posted as yet, an increase of data and minutes on the £5 Hokey Cokey and £7.50 goodybag.

Interesting. I usually get the £10 goodybag; those changes almost make the £7.50 goodybag an option.0

This caught my eye too until I realised that of course it's still 3G only. I moved from giffgaff to Tesco Mobile because the cheapest 4G deal on giffgaff is still £12.
If you don't want 4G then it's an attractive price. No free lunch, and no free laptop 0 0

That's a good point, I think Giffgaff are being shortsighted and greedy in trying to make more profit from 4G when most of their competition now treats 3G/4G the same.====0

To be fair, TM's £7.50 SIM-only tariff is also 3G only. But everything above that is 4G inclusive. No free lunch, and no free laptop 0 0
