Emerald....you arn't far from the truth there....it hasn't actually cracked the back bumper and side panel .....but its been quite an impact

Is that your car after someone took a pop?..ouch!

I guess thats what happens when lots of the bumper panels are plastic based....easy to replace in terms of no panel beating needed but because whole moulded sections need replacing it works out expensive....and T cut doesnt ever seem to work on the plastic either so you are left with ugly looking scrape marks.

DS's car is 18 months old we bought it new for him just before he took his test...it's his pride and joy and he wouldn't even take it to uni for fear of it being abused or damaged....

I'm still trying to compose him a text...but I think it may be better to phone later....
I really am hoping that they will be good to their word and bring the insurance details round....but there is this niggling bit of me that thinks if they didnt own up to it last night when they did it,they will only try to distance themselves from it now.....I shall send OH round tonight.

I was thinking overnight that I should keep the line rental and fibre bit but cancel the TV bit - it seems a bit if a half way house but I know
but I could totally go through with this plan if sky would not play ball.

I think I will give them another ring and see what figures they give me. The annoying thing is OH is first named on the account so they ask to speak to him first before they will discuss the account with me :(

I always use the online chat, I never speak to them on the phone as I like to save the transcript in case of any queries later.

If you know all the account details, you are he on the chat ;).

    A question pretty please

Errant son did a change to his car insurance last summer - he was driving between one business premise and another, not sure what its called maybe just the business element.
This is in addition to the usual social, domestic, pleasure, travel between home and work.
I think it only cost a minor ammount to go on, maybe £15 or so.

He sent off his expenses sheet (meals away from home, parking and mileage as he gets paid 40p per mile) last week and they have asked for a scan of his insurance documents so he has sent this as well.
Apparently every time he completes an expenses form he has to also send off his car insurance docs as well to prove that he has the business element.

He has only done 3 of these forms but each time he says he has had to send in a scan of his insurance docs

Does that sound right? I know you could very easily get the business element taken off your insurance after the form was sent in but who would bother as the insurance company charge £25 for each alteration and you would then have to put it on again for the next months expenses form.

They wouldn't talk to me at first as account is in DHs name - I told them he was hard of hearing and elderly (not entirely true !) gave the phone to him and told him to shout loudly that they had his permission to talk to me. They made a note on the account and usually talk to me without any more hassle. (Apart from the odd prat who gets arsey).

Why not report it to your son's insurance anyway, with pictures, just in case they try to wriggle out of it ?
