Victoria Derbyshire chaired a discussion yesterday and there was a much more concilliatory tone between the participants. A lot of these were young people too.

It was encouraging to hear people on the ground talking about making things work.

It's a complete contrast to some of the commentators and pundit speak.

There is a lot of work to be done to heal divisions in the country, never mind wider issues.

We have ignored regional division for decades arguably, and the fact it shocked politicians is the biggest surprise to me.

Don't worry I'm not nervous, whatever happens I'll be ok, my main concern at the moment is having to wait for my dog's stitches to come out on Monday (and the bloody weather of course), so we can resume our hiking and jogging together.

Global warming there's another topic that's been swept under the carpet. Weather patterns do appear to be more extreme. With weather systems not where they used to be.

Yeah, we were going to view a house next Saturday, that was badly flooded in 2014, at first I wasn't overly concerned. But after thinking about it, I realised that I was focusing on potential costs too much (I don't insure my home, although of course that would be expensive too). But the real issue for us would be the massive disruption if it did flood, so I think we'll pass on that particular property.

Yes well done, you are the Masters of the Universe now.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You should probably realise that the world is laughing at you.

    You are a laughing stock.

The thing that is so inequitable is that the flag waving pensioners and pea brained xenophobes wandering around with beer bellies bulging out of singlets are partying while the Remain voters actually are ashamed.

I am ashamed of my country, and by extension myself. The world thinks we are total idiots and I can't think of a reason to disagree with them.

Most people who are educated voted Remain. And there weren't enough of them. What does that tell you about Britain?

You love pigeonholing people Rugged. Attributing traits to how they dress, whether they wave a flag, how old they are.

    Isn't that what racists do?
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

We didn't get the result that we wanted, you are now just wasting your time, it is time to move on and accept that the vote went the wrong way (for us). I'm getting my revenge by cheering on NI against Wales in this live match (because NI voted to stay and Wales voted to leave), although I suspect that I'm doomed here as well.

The world doesn't live here. We do. There's a big assumption on your part that Europe is singing off the same hymn sheet.

You seriously need to get over this before it eats you up...

As you now seem to hate the UK there are plenty of other EU countries where you can go and live in EU bliss, and you can move and work there freely, one of the aspects you so love?

Letting them think their behaviour is acceptable is the last thing we need to do now.

If a child misbehaves, you punish them when they do it, not ignore it.

Also, look at what they are pushing for, deportations and closing the borders. Half of these seem to think that voting out of Europe will somehow get rid of Muslims. What's next, Blackshirts patrolling the streets?

We are not remotely aligned politically but you must understand that the Left has a genuine tradition of opposing bigotry, both at the ballot box, in the courts and by using direct action on the streets.

17 and a half million people voted Leave on a platform of xenophobia. There are 48 million other people in the UK and many of us are not prepared to stand idly by while they warp our political and cultural life into some right wing dystopia.
