whats your personal view of where the FTSE will be in say a year
and where the GBP will be
Sorry to butt in, where it is in a year doesn't really bother me, my horizon is 15 to 20 years away. In the meantime I'm more concerned at getting reasonable dividend income, which is higher than other alternatives, as well as incurring less tax. In fact, I am hoping that it crashes a few times in the next 10 years, so that I can lock some capital losses in, to offset against future CGT bills.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

You should probably realise that the world is laughing at you.

You are a laughing stock.
I looked back on your posts and wasn't surprised to find that you failed in the UK and emigrated to Australia:rotfl:0 -

But I didn't really think that it would come to that, in a way it doesn't matter, because there wasn't much that I could have done about it anyway, it will be what ends up as.
I'm far less concerned now, and I can see myself possibly getting out of this taking less than a £50k hit.
60% of investment returns are generated from income reinvestment. Hold your nerve Chuck. Fortune favours the brave. Sell an asset if it's performing badly. Not because market makers have simply marked the price down. Sudden shocks make markets indiscriminate. There's bargains out there if you look.0 -

Someone who does research. It was clear from his post that he is a bitter man, but I wanted to check why that was. He went to Australia where all the failures go.0 -

Don't worry I'm not nervous, whatever happens I'll be ok, my main concern at the moment is having to wait for my dog's stitches to come out on Monday (and the bloody weather of course), so we can resume our hiking and jogging together.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
