TBH I don't think that the distinction matters in campaign terms. It depends what comes out of course but it certainly adds to the idea that there is a bit of a dark side to Brexitiers' motives (I'm not saying there is you understand but perception is all).
A similar thing happened with Scotland didn't it? Enough people were put off by the woad stained psychos hanging around dodgy pubs with Yes flags to turn the tide of the overall vote.
Many people don't want to be associated with racist cretins. Apart from UKIP supporters of course. I have never seen such a lot of confused messages and ignorance around a referendum in any case.
I suspect a lot of people who will be voting next week couldn't find Germany on a map.0 -

I don't get why anyone would want to be part of an organisation that claims to be economically beneficial for its members yet in its time has created a economically split region, causing some of inhabitants to feel the need to leave there homes to seek a better life, whilst causing upset to other members for that same reason. Some of its members our now worse off than they have ever been , from which the financial contagion will eventually result in a problem for all members, if it manages to continue
Do you think you could be drawing wrong causation conclusions here? Do you remember the GFC of 2007/08?0 -

Your constant message of hatred for at least half the population of this country does, in some message encourage violence and division.
As you believe in unlimited immigration why not spread that more positive message more widely, rather than your constant stream of hate for your fellow human beings.0 -

thing is, surely instead of encouraging people to leave their homelands in pursuit of riches, the EU should be looking at its members, and trying to balance their economy across regions? so instead of them becoming money pits like Greece, they can stand on their own 2 feet, which would in turn reduce the immigration issue that upsets a lot of people. But instead, they just allow it to carry on
I wasn't born when the EU was formed, but surely, as we here from the 'remain' camp, one of the selling points of EU membership for all members was the economic benefits? OK, its good for the UK now, but in time to come we will end up just bailing out the other countries that can no longer support themselves. IMO, the EU has failed to meet one of its main purposes, maybe not for us, but thinking about the EU as a whole0 -

If you think your "views" are shared by half the country you are fantastically more deluded than even I had given you credit.0 -
and about democracy, which took us so long to achieve (though history doesn't seem to be a strong point of the remainders), and which is now severely threatened.
Nah, that's just a nice soundbite. In reality, a few years ago 99% of the population wouldn't have a clue which laws were EU or UK made. Our democracy is about the same as it ever was, the dailymail is just telling you how to think now.0 -
