Dinah, about the business. What is the likelyhood that you can rent it out when you don't use it? Would sub-letting be even possible? Also what will happen if you can't pay it for 2 years? If business doesn't go very well or if you get injured? Do you have a back up plan?

Be nice for you to have a little down time with the kids away, Wendz :) OH is taking O away August bank holiday with his parents and I'm thinking of the quiet nights, the house staying clean, being able to just grab my bag and leave the house... mental!

Be lovely for mini Kavics to have a sibling. But I get the fear, I don't think I'd have the emotional strength (or, tbh, the energy) to actively try for a kid, but there's always just doing away with contraception and seeing what happens. Way less stressful. My Sister is about to start TTC and I'm already getting second hand nerves.

Is there no negotiation on the lease potentially for 1 year instead of 2, or maybe a break clause? I think it's an area you'll ultimately need to stretch to so it's a case of strike while the iron's hot or wait it out another few months to see how things go. I'd look into sub-letting as a potential income generator if you need to.

Sent inquiry over to planning to see if they would support my change of use application on the unit. Dad also thinks he can get me a grant towards it which would be great.

I'm very aware that if we didn't have our personal debt the business could grow a lot more comfortably.

My accountant has submitted documents of incorporation, so as of Monday I'll be director of a limited company - seems very grown up!

The two year lease is the negotiated down version, he was after 3 year minimum (still better than the other places I've seen which were both 5 years). Good thing about being a ltd company though is that if it doesn't work out the lease is to the company not me, I can fold the company and trade under a different name, although I'm not actually too concerned, I haven't even released my places to new students for the next course and I'm already around 75% full. Taking on the studio I could run a few more classes in the same number of hours and the room is a lot bigger so for some classes I could take more students, and I could also sublet to other groups when I'm not using it.

Okay, lighter note, what habits do you have that you wish you could quit to save the money but just can't break? For me it's diet coke, I probably spend around £25 a month on diet coke, but if I don't have it I genuinely can't stay awake all day, I loose at least 2 hours to afternoon naps and early bedtimes, I don't drink coffee though. I've made it 2 weeks before thinking I'd become less tired without my crutch but it doesn't let up so I go back on it to get the time back!

  • Dinah we are all traveling to the same destination, the land of DFD. It!!!8217;s just some of us have a longer road to travel. Mine has taken a long time as I had a few diversions to deal with along the way. So I am still half way through my journey. I started at £54+ and I am planning on getting through the second half faster than the first. You have helped me more than you know. I remember when Nim wasn!!!8217;t even called Nim and there was no Pink and Blue, and your life on this journey had just began. You have come so far and you can do this again. You are an inspiration x

So pleased that your little pink person is on the mind.

I quit diet coke when I got pregnant with mini Kavics, just could't look at the thing anymore. I drunk up to 4 coffees a day till August than weened myself off. I now drink one in the morning and if I feel very tired than I have one during the day. That happens twice a week only. I had horrendous headache for 2 weeks and also my energy level was really low but slowly it started to get better. I feel much better now.
