Got the new car today - it's a bit of a beast but at least it fits all my kit in now so I can stop getting the kids to hold bags of equipment on every journey!

Hope the new car runs well for you! Be good to have something a bit bigger, and gives you the extra ad space if you get it stickered up :)

Keeping everything crossed winter is over and spring is on the way. I mostly just want to turn the heating off.

O has been getting up at 5am these last 3 mornings and I'm cream crackered. Its one thing to get up on your own at that time of the morning, it's another when there's a mad toddler running about. His new thing is "oh, go on!" Whenever he's trying to get us to do something. Kills me every time!

    Hi All,

Lovely weather here finally, we had 16 degrees today. Went out for a bike ride with Little Kavics and spent some time with boyfriend's family.
Planning to go for a run tomorrow and also swimming, we are actually off to a place in the middle of the forest on Monday and will stay offline for 3 days. Can't wait.

Boyfriend has now moved in. It is !!!! scary but we are giving it a go and see how it works. Little Kavics has completely calmed down and loves him too which is really lovely. I have now idea what comes next but we are all happy now.

Oh that's lovely, Kavics :) Hope things keep going well for you all, I can imagine it's such a bigger thing having a partner move in when you have a LO than when you just move in with someone solo! Honestly so happy for you, you've taken some massive leaps!

We had horrible weather over the weekend, felt like we were getting cabin fever yesterday but the rain just didn't break and LO is prone to getting sick if we go out in shoddy weather so just didn't want to risk it. I've watched Despicable Me 3 more times than I'd like to admit.

Hope you all had a good easter. Currently massively regretting large truck purchase as the back (boot/canopy/goods area) leaks! Can't actually put anything in it which makes it pretty useless. Need to call the garage and get it looked at.

Took a week off to take the kids around Yorkshire and the midlands and this has left me so swamped I have this permanent level of anxiety that makes me want to be sick.

Going to view another unit on Thursday, on a residential training course Friday - Sunday (marketing rather than yoga), kids back at school Monday.

It's suddenly bit me that LB will be starting school in September and I'm really not ready for them both to be in school all day. I'll be able to grow the business in leaps and bounds I hope, but I don't feel that that is the lifestage I'm at yet.

NIM has been off work with mental health stuff for 3 weeks, but he's been offered another job so he's going back on Tuesday and should go over to the new company by the end of April hopefully. It's nearly a £10k pay increase but a 50 mile each way commute. It's sort of shift work too, either 7am-3pm or 11am - 7pm. The early would suit us a lot better as I teach most evenings from 6pm, but I'm not sure if shifts can be set or if he will have to float, which could be a massive issue.

Father in law and his partner are coming over this weekend, while I'm on training. Be nice for NIM and kids to see them as it's been 18 months. You'd think Ireland was a lot further away than it is.

Have had no income since Feb 12th and the bank accounts are a long way past bare. Had a dentist checkup this morning and actually had to play a game of 'which account has £21' to be able to pay it. This is because we changed to a ltd company but I didn't know that I needed a business account rather than a dedicated personal account, so I've not been able to withdraw any money. HSBC utterly !!!!ed up my application and it ended up in a virtual black hole while I waited and waited and they didn't progress it, finally got one opened with Santander but now having to wait for the merchant link up which can take 5 days as well. Pulling my hair out!

NIMs/my old car needs an MOT in the next 2 weeks as well. Everything is a bit much right now.

Oh no, Dinah! You were so positive when you last posted. Sorry to hear things have been a bit much, can't even imagine how stressed you must feel.

Silver lining is the truck will be fixable, and then be usable. NIM's shift work has only 2 possibilities, so it isn't like there are a million variants so I'm sure you can get into a routine with it. It's all manageable, it's a lot but it's manageable!

Try and carve out a little time for yourself, even if it's just to watch an episode of a show you like or sit with a cuppa and a book. Turn your phones off in the evenings when you can and disconnect a little. Once the kids are back at school and you get back into a routine I'm sure you'll start to feel better :)

Free fascial and massage this evening, the salon I get my eyebrows done at gives you a free mini one or the other at 5 visits and a full one of one or the other at 10. I've saved them up to do them both together. Considering my eyebrows only cost £7 a time I think the freebie is probably worth about that so not bad going and looking forward to 90 minutes of stress free me time.

I think I might have been so stressed because I'd not been teaching for 10 days, taught a class last night and feel so much more on top of things today.

  • No income since 12th Feb, how have you managed?
I have been baking everyday this week as I!!!8217;m off for Easter. I am going to try the keep the food bill down as much as I can this month. The dog is a bit limb and she!!!8217;s going to the vets tomorrow so need to claw some money back as it not in the budget. I also have the mot next month which I!!!8217;m sure it will need a little bit of work. Hopefully nothing major but I have budgeted some for that. Hope you are all well.

Sorry to hear the truck is leaking, hope you can get it sorted!

Job move for NIM sounds like it could be promising. Hope the shifts work out.

The money situation sounds like an absolute nightmare! It is no surprise that you are so stressed with all this going on. Agree with Cinny that you need a bit of you time and the mini facial and massage sounds great.

Kavics - lovely news about your bf moving in, hope it all works out great for you and mini kavics.

Been an expensive month and not even half way through. Got a lot of birthdays and the Easter holidays don't help! Went to the tower of London today. Only had to pay for me though as H is free and P has a blue peter badge now. We had a nice day. Trying to think of cheap things to do next couple of days. Think we might do library and park tomorrow and swimming Friday as kids go in free.
