I've emailed one of the board admins, it seems wierd for it to go down and not to tell me they've done it though?

Anyone know how to access that strange cached version of the web see if I can find it on there?

Did you say you're thinking of Geronimo Cinny? We are too, Arley Hall though not Knebworth.

There's a thread on the main DF board (I think) to say a few diaries were deleted yesterday?

We are! Although I'm a bit ugh that apparently I have to pay full price to get my child into places this summer :rotfl: I prefer the look of what's on at Arley Hall but it falls on my niece's birthday weekend so we're summoned to Essex for a princess party instead.

Arley Hall is just a lot closer for us, haven't actually really checked dates yet.

Do they say why diaries were deleted?!

Apparently its a spam attack from what I can see from a few threads. Really odd, and must be disheartening for people.

We're equal distance between both this year, which was a relief that we might still be able to go. I think it's Friday - Monday so it'll be the 25-28th of May for Arley

eta: didn't even know this section of the forum existed. Lots of threads about it here.

Okay, looks like all my old threads made it from the attack, so just the 2 day old one has gone. I can live with that.

Managed to get the cached version so at least you won't need to type it all up again!

I've been active on the forums for over a decade, I think this is my 12th thread. In 2008 I cleared over £16,000 of debt in 9 months, more than my take home pay and around 20x what I had left over after bills each month on paper over the same period. This was all driven by the goal that when I was debt free my boyfriend would move to the UK from Ireland (which he did, and promptly got down on one knee), we got married, bought a house, had two babies, the house partially collapsed, we ran up massive debts, and in December sat down to give our heads a wobble when we realised that our monthly outgoings to service the debts and our bills were over £5000 a month and we had less than half that coming in. No wonder they were growing!

So I took a few weeks to try to restructure our income, as outgoings were stripped back after years of following MSE. I'm self employed and having finally done a budget I've increased my working hours and income significantly in the last month, this is the first month in who knows how long we've brought in more than we've spent.

So, this is our journey to work hard, grow a business, clear our debt and live our lives. Aiming to get the debt under £40,000 by the end of this year, which would mean paying more than our guaranteed net pay off to achieve this. Please join in my journey and meet my wonderful threadies who have stuck with me for the last decade.

    Debt January 1st 2018: £65,773.65
Current DFD on current debt payments: December 2021.

I'm going to hold off on making another new one until the issue seems to be sorted. I'm getting a little more concerned about digital privacy though (hence dates going from my sig) so if I do start a new one I need nicknames for my two little people. Wouldn't be hard to go back and find them but I can at least try to get a bridle on the horse as it bolts.

Okay, how do I make myself do taxes. Worst bit is it's pretty much done I just need to do the last 5% and submit it

Ben is currently very sad as he wants a tree house and we have no trees. I've explained we can replace the very rickety swings with a climbing frame in the summer, but it's not the same without a tree it appears.

That's one reason I wiped my social media not long after Oscar was born, it's way too easy to put too much out there. Like people who get robbed because they've made their location way too easy to find and are posting holiday photos while they're away!

You could always go with G and B until you figure it out?

Looks like that kid needs a tree fund. My parents always had me make a "fund" for something wildly outrageous that I wanted - I'd manically save £20 and then spend it in woolworths and forget I even wanted a custom wendy house in the first place.
