Best of luck, Dinah! It sounds like over the past few months you've had a huge change in your energy (which is, yano, probably to do with all that yoga you're doing!) so I'm sure you can crack it this time
It is a huge amount but equally so it's still just pounds and pence, it can be chipped away at! We've finally got our loan pay off date within the next couple months and I can't wait to be debt free again. Plus once we've worked our savings back up Rich can look at lower paying, less stress, jobs.
Went whole hog and booked the Thomas room. Was a bit pricey but he'll love it, and bar a weekend away in June for my sister's 30th (child free!!) we won't actually be having a holiday again this year. And that's how I justified it as I added a £7.50 "cluster of balloons" to our reservation0 -
Quite a bit of our debt is interest bearing, and we can't change that at present, so what I'm going to be doing is saying when we pay things off it, but only updating our total on the first of the month.
Today's excitement, £36 paid off the Tesco card (minimum payment), £100 off Next account and the £95 I owed my tutor for an assessment fee.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I kept meaning to ask if Ben's and Grace's rooms were left untouched by the house works? I feel like you'd just got Ben's room together when everything happened!
Home from work early today, my mum kept Oscar for an extra hour so I had a bath and picked up the house a little. Rich is in Birmingham so at least we'll get a bit of a mid-month expenses boost in February.0 -
I managed to fall asleep on the sofa while waiting for Ben to dig a hexbug from under the bookcase, so wildly productive afternoon here.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Bet Oscar will love his birthday trip!
I find it very easy to spend money on stuff the kids want/need but i will wear the same falling apart pair of boots for months:rotfl:.
Got another £17 back for delayed trains yesterday. The only perk to having to be late half the time!0 -
Good going on the refund! I tried to get a refund for a train journey on southern rail last summer but found the forms a little baffling
Our local Toys R Us is one of the ones they're closing so we're going through today to see if they have any good prices on outdoor toys for Oscar. Been up since 5:30 this morning, trying to get back into the swing of walks earlier in the morning but I'm knackered 😂0 -

Snallers condensed lists seem to be the way forward!
Got oscar a picnic table for £10.49 down from £24.99 yesterday, and got a £10 off £20 spend for another local branch. Would definitely recommend going if your local one is closing0 -
