I'm confused, did you not get on the flight then? Twice? You wanted a significant change to the meal planning but didn't mention it until check in? Surely there is more to this story?0
-
Some people don't get it.
I am not going to refrain from travel abroad because of this. Rather stay in uk? Don't think so
1) so why are most airlines happy to announce they won't be serving a particular product and request other passenger not consume it?
2) this airline, who I've made 4 flights with (2 return), eventually caved in on 2 occasions, but on the other 2 occasions (from what I remember to be the same steward), did not? If this airline had strict policy they would have not adhered to my request. So this steward failed to show duty of care, discretion and full understanding, possibly as a result of language or not understand the gravity of it
3) why would this airline seemingly a) put a life in danger.
cause loss of time and money and delay making a potential emergency landing in order to comply with red tape and commercial pressures. It does not make SENSE.'Here, everyone eat this. Someone may die, but we'll make £50'
It is unacceptable and I was left distressed twice and anxious
I carry my medicines with me. But I should not be expected to have to use them in the case of deliberate negligence which could result in manslaughter0 -
This is NOT about the meal!!!!!!
They are short haul flight. It's about snacks sold and people consuming their own food.
As an aside:
I am fully sympathetic and accommodating to others needs and health concerns. So to hear the odd 'tut' when announcement have been made in the past, just because a fellow passengers can't eat their X food for an hour or two, as some sort of inconvenience, is pretty shocking and sad indictment on society. other passenger I've spoke to have been sympathetic and understanding, one informed me of a similar issue with a relative and another airline0 -

You don't get it? Not sure your brain can compute, but the two examples are not comparable . One is a muscular issue which will not cause other passengers having to refrain from anything , while the other is a life threatening condition . Maybe write in to your local daily mail About this case.0 -
you don't mention the airline but most will mention allergies on their websitecatoutthebag wrote: »An airline twice ignored my special dietary requirements for commercial purposes which could have put my life in danger if other passengers consumed the food stuff. Very angry and stressed, I dont think they fully grasped it and messages at check in were not passed on
I want to make a complaint.
Any suggestion letters please as it's unacceptable

Allergies
We are unable to guarantee an allergy free environment onboard or in Our partner lounges. If You have any kind of allergy that could result in an anaphylactic reaction You should carry Your medication (e.g. antihistamines, Epi-pen) in Your Hand Baggage.
Nuts
Please be aware that We sell peanuts onboard. However, if You suffer from anaphylaxis please notify the cabin crew on boarding the aircraft so that the sale of nuts can be prevented on the Flight. Without knowing the airline and issue it is difficult to say if they actually did anything wrong0 -
I didn't insult them all. Most are great . This one was rude and ignorant and showed zero duty of care when alerted clearly to the danger.Demand compensation for what?
How can the airline guarantee no passenger hasn't brought a bag of nuts on board the aircraft?
I'm aware how dangerous such allergies can be, but I think you expectations are unrealistic and maybe you should review any future travel plans, not demand compensation and insult all airline staff!0 -

Is there an obligation on an airline to cater for such cases as yourself to the inconvenience of all the other passengers?
Or is it that you may consider that your medical condition places limitations on what you can do or where you can go or what means you use to travel?
Discretion is the word , not obligation, when presented with a risk endangering a passenger0
