At least you earn 4% interest on the credit you must be accruing on the account :money:

Good point, better than all my bank accounts :)
They can't accuse me of hoarding a balance with them either against their terms and conditions as I've supplied them with readings and the delay I would think is on their side.

So surely they must have been validated by now,...

    Obviously not.

Just follow the advice given in the email you received.

So I can assume from that the readings are failing validation for some reason and as mentioned I'll just carry on providing readings to them and hope it balances out.

Just curious to know if anyone else had experienced the same or if meter readings were going through OK for everyone else. Not sure what the validation process entails but I know the readings are all correct and match my usage. Do suppliers still rely on a confirmed reading by a meter reader or confident in data supplied by customers?

I was previously with iSupply, and I know they always insisted readings were validated by the meter reading agency.
(the difference was their online account had 2 sections, one for readings submitted, and another for once they were validated - they never emailed an acknowledgment of receipt which Iresa do instead)

I then received a bill for £0 which just gave me my current credit balance.

I'm wondering whether to phone and speak to them or just leave it as it is and keep just submitting my readings?
Despite having the word bill on it there is no request for payment as it is a statement showing payments in and out of your account. File it and continue giving readings.

From memory my early readings were slow to appear. I think it takes time for whatever system they use to recognise newer customers. If you payments are covering your costs I would just give it time to sort itself out.

Ah yes I see, I've only got single rate electric with Iresa so not to have all eggs in one basket as such as I had seen issues with their calorific value being mentioned on here. Using Zog for gas, shame they don't have any online account access etc. though like Iresa.
I must admit that Iresa got their act together better than British Gas did though as it was a bit of a shambles switching to them.

All 3 of my readings have shown up on my account within 3 days of submitting.
@martyp - don't suppose you have submitted readings including decimal points?

    Hi Malc,

Yes meter readings were the same for closing and opening. I have had separate final statements for electricity and gas. Electricity was £2.06 in credit which I have received but the gas was £28.44 in credit and that has not been paid despite the statement being dated 27 Feb 2017.

That's odd Blackdog. You should've had this refund by now. Is the final gas bill based on an estimated meter reading? This can sometimes slow things up as we could be waiting for an actual reading to rebill to. Although, 27 February 17 seems far too long. Let me know if you would like me to take a look. If you do, drop an email to the address in my Profile with your details. Please include any relevant meter readings. Happy to check.

I haven't, no. I notice the ones on the account are .0 so wonder if submitting them with .0 at the end makes a difference?
