Morning
Up to date on the week so far. Today will be an easy one as I ended up having to strip both beds on sunday because of the flea issue. So I will hoover the bedrooms, stairs and landing today and tackle a few bits of dusting.

Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well YL
I'm tired too, so planning on a snooze later.
Got a busy morning, but hope to get bedroom and landings sorted. Using one landing as a temporary filing cabinet, so that might be interesting...
Hope Wolfy is having lovely holibobs with Mr LW. Hope they've had some of this sunshine! We had a rumble of thunder yesterday, but no rain. However today is very muggy already, so I think a storm is brewing. My weather witch nose is twitching
Happy Hump Day ladies xxx0 -
Muggy here too!
I feel like I've been awake half the night - I haven't - just very groggy. Coffee is served lol.
Need to pop out this morning then water the garden, rain didn't materialise here either.
Off to consult the list to see what's the plan for this afternoon:)
ETA - ooo bedroom! I changed my bedding yesterday and got it all washed and dried :T I even swapped for the quilted throw as its a bit warm for my heavy duvet.Bossymoo

Morning All,
Just a flying visit from me this morning - very very tired. Poor DS was up most of the night - he's come down with a stinking cold - which meant I was too. We gave up and came downstairs at 5am.
Must get a wriggle on as I am looking after my 3 year old nephew today so need to go pick him up shortly. Written a short to do list but the main focus today will be everybody fed nobody dead - that's good enough for me. Oh, and water the pots - we had thunder too but no rain.
Must dash, DS has just sneezed all over my foot....:o

Morning all. I have just woken up! First cuppa is always the best of the day... Mmm...Vacuum the landing and bedroom.. starting at the bottom of the stairs!!!!
I'm definitely a top->down person, but there are two reasons for that:
1. I often get DH to carry the hoover upstairs for me, because it's easier to carry down (gravity helps!).
2. When I was a child and lived in a village with no mains electricity, we swept everything by hand. I remember doing the stairs with the hard-bristle brush, and the fun of sweeping an ever-increasing pile of dust bunnies and other dirt down from one step to the next, then sweeping it all into a dustpan at the bottom. We didn't have a hoover until we moved to London when I was 10.
Old habits die hard!
I did all the washing over the weekend, including bedlinen, and the windows have been open all night, so my list for today is light on flying and heavier on paperwork and books:
- have breakfast, shower and dress
- write 2 cards and ask DH to deliver when he goes out to Warfarin clinic
- financial check
- tidy round the whole house (5-minute job, except for the study which I will leave until I've got rid of more paperwork later!)
- water the pots currently in the shade in the back garden; add slug pellets
- work through course outline from 2 weeks ago, when I was away
- prepare for tonight's course
- order birthday gifts for DGS1 and DSiL
- order plant supports for tomatoes
- plant out veg in tubs, having bought new poles for the runner beans yesterday (and an aubergine and a pepper for the mini-greenhouse)
- reduce paperwork pile a bit more
- go to my course this evening
(((Hugs))) to Valli and well done for crossing one hurdle.
Yuck dancemum, I can't stand the smell of smoke either.
Glad you are enjoying being a sahm, Bossy. Yay!!! to the new kitchen!
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Catch up later x0 -
Morning all.
Its a much cooler morning here than of late which is a pleasant change, and only a high of 20C forecast so I think I can cope with that lol Todays plan is to go to Mr A for a top up shop as I forgot to buy honey and I'm after one of those dish sponges where you fill the handle with cleaner for washing out the water bottles etc properly. According to the website they sell them...if not I'll try Mr Ts on Friday while I'm out running errands. Then home to get stuck into paid stuff which should clear a big chunk off my list as apart from the accounts/tax return, they're all jobs which should take less than half an hour each in theory.

I've got one of those sponge on a stick things Nicki its good. The heads are replaceable but I find the brush ones just let the WUL leak out...
Ionafan I just start at whatever end I'm at but prefer bottom up so the darn thing doesn't fall down the stairs on me!
Errands run this morning, then watered garden and have just tidied and dusted and vacced my room. Also bunged gammon steaks in slow cooker for later and had a snack.

At about 6 o'clock I must remember to phone my friend in our old home town about whether or not I am to visit her tomorrow. My head is telling me to stay at home and get on with work that needs to be done before Monday (and although I'm home all day Friday, I shall be out most of Saturday and Sunday), but my heart is telling me that she needs a lot of support atm.
Hope your car gets sorted at minimum cost, YL.0 -
Blimey what is wrong with me today. I really really CBA, in fact never mind stripping our bed and washing the bedding - I could get back in it. Kick up the bum needed.
I have put one of the blankets that came from DHs gran in the washer. We have had them cleaned but I have never washed them myself at home so I hope it survives! My plan is to do both and then put them away for next winter.
Following on from what atb said I think we all need a steady day today, but I must do some more paid stuff! Might make myself a brew first. Oh but its ten to three already .........
Iona sounds like your kindness and support is much in demand at the moment. Hope things improve for your friend and NDN.
Got to go x0
