Thank you to Piggers for last week's thread
Do not lose heart if you cannot keep up with everyone else or reading the thread, don't try to reply to everyone and please remember to include something about flying in all your posts.
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thought I would get it in nice and early tonight
I won't be in properly either as I'm only around two days and trying to do housework in two days is impossible with my level of tiredness at the moment

I'll try to be in but I have heaps of paid work to catch up on and its a little too hot to be doing housework when you can't open windows due to bees being right outside them
They're not doing any harm, I just don't want them in the house. Also got errands to run tomorrow. I'm hoping I can get them done and dusted early before it gets too warm.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I'm in. Thanks piggers and Natty
Will have to start by catching up with today - didn't happen after my 10k. It was sooooo hot I just collapsed when I got home.
So, kitchen and baking tomorrow. Hopefully not in dizzy'slevel of heat though.
Enjoy the last of the weekend I'm off to bed.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hot in Herts today!!! I hung washing out and put a beef stew in the slow cooker before cycling to church. Pollen must be slightly lower than last time I did that, as I am no fitter but was nowhere near so breathless after the (slight) hill home.
Did a couple of hours in the garden; trimming hedge arch, pruning my flower-arranger's vertical ivy, sowing seeds, watering, pulling weeds.
Replenished a flower arrangement; the birds of paradise arrangement I won in last month's raffle is still going strong; I just pull out other bits and put a few new bits in.
Mr N went up to Duxford with his mate on motor bikes to see some aeroplanes. The mate has been meaning to upgrade/sort out my PC for ages (my fault not his) so I said I'd take it tomorrow as I keep putting it off. So this evening will be spent deleting as much old stuff as I can and doing a new backup.
Mr N and I whisked round the lounge/diner so that's tomorrow's list reduced.
Coming into quite a busy time socially for the next few weeks, so I need to get very organised with menus, bedrooms etc.
Doc on Thurs unless I change my mind.
Happy flying everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I'm in - thanks Natty :A
Back to work tomorrow but only 6 weeks and 3 days until the summer hols:rotfl:

[*]Attend a childrens party & tidy up afterwards!! If not going to a party then why not have a little party of your own. Bake cakes etc...
I am planning to involve DGD2 in as much of my list as possible:
- send DH out early to take his car in for bodywork repairs
- S&S bathroom
- S&S ensuite
- dust LR
- dust DR
- marzipan DS2's cake
- clean weeds from between paving blocks on drive, while DH has charge of DGD2: they need to check that the garden railway is working properly
- cook lunch
- weed back garden (while DGD2 has a sleep)
- plant small tomato plants into individual pots
- plant out a few bedding plants to fill odd spaces
- plant courgettes and runner beans in pots
- sweep decking and yard (DGD2 can play in paddling pool)
- DGD2 to be collected at about 4.00
- prepare for evening fundraising event: hang up bunting in front garden; sort raffle; teas/coffees; serviettes; strawberry scones will be made by some of the other Old Wives; DH has sourced a dancing Queen and a corgi to ride on the trains :rotfl:
That should keep us all busy! The weather forecast is good again0 -
*wilt*
I'm in, but only if it's not so bloomin' hot. I actually went and laid on the clay currently masquerading as the ground floor in the house ATM, to cool down. Brought my giant fan into the caravan from the bedroom, but will be hauling it back upstairs tonight for sure.0
