I'm trying, really trying. :rotfl:
Its been a busy morning. DH has been dropped off at the bus station :j as he is back at work today :j:j:j. I have come back, put in a load of washing, put away a load of dry towels, made the beds and folded a load of dry clothes to pop away when I go upstairs. Oh and some catching up on diaries......
I was going to go shopping tomorrow when DS goes back to school but I have decided to go today so I can spend tomorrow (my first day alone for ages) wisely (making a dress or skirt for me;)). I only need a few basics from the supermarket so it should be cheap.
I all going to do a batch cook today to stop me from ending up at the chippie this week. This really needs to stop.
Apart from that a day of entertaining DS for his last day off and more housework.
Have a fab day all. P x1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

So, I looked this up... downloaded the sample... got reading... now do I sped £2 or so actually getting the book?! LOL. The fact of buying would counteract the ethos.
It's too early in the day to deal with this.
That said, what a zesty, inspiring post from you! So often when I read what you've written, I'm inspired to make something or investigate what food I already have in, or (especially) declutter. Knowing that you are doing this, and have about the same natural abilities as a declutterer that I have (i.e. battery on 1% but doing I anyway), makes me just that bit more inclined to wade in again. This morning I have taken down two rows of books from our vastly overstacked shelves and found a whole lot of part-reads. Not what I was looking for, but things I want to do so when I find my lost bullet journal, a reading page is going in. Meanwhile I have loads to fnd homes for or even (gasp) pass on.
I think I need a coffee first.

I do that. Then I stop and finish reading whatever it was and never actually finish

A funny morning for me. I went shopping to get some new undies and spent a fortune on three bras and matching knickers. I took some work by the poor woman in M & S but she managed to sort me out. :T
I'm just having lunch then a bit of me time.

If there's a 'fitter' who knows her job and you have a bit of money (or a fortune!
) to spend, and remember to wash bras by hand and leave off the fabric conditioner which apparently disagrees with the elasticity, then 'good' bras (Freudian slip - I typed 'bars') are a good investment.
Enjoy your coffee and 'me' time, which you have most surely earned.
I did buy the book, btw. It may last me till this evening - the trouble with easy reads is they are gone in a couple of gulps! As you say though, this one does make me think. Thanks for mentioning itI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Pity I dont have the body to go in them. A flipping mirror on every wall of the cubicle.
Unfortunately, the jeggings at still hanging around until I have enough replacement clothes. Bl00dy awful things. Would rather wear a mui mui.Cherryfudge wrote: »If there's a 'fitter' who knows her job and you have a bit of money (or a fortune!) to spend, and remember to wash bras by hand and leave off the fabric conditioner which apparently disagrees with the elasticity, then 'good' bras (Freudian slip - I typed 'bars') are a good investment.

Yes, I read it in a day.
I dont use fabric softer at all. I'm definately going to start washing them by hand though. I usually chuck them in the machine.
They were pricey for me at £16 each pair, but I'm a tight war. I guess lots of folks spend more. The knickers were three for two though.:money: (should I put a photo of Martin after a comment about knickers:rotfl:).
My afternoon has morphed into one of cleaning. If only I knew where to start. Goodness I wish I could do the domestic goddess thing. I can't even do the cleaning right. But as this year is the year of learning new skills I suppose I will lean.
Off to steam my floor. Joy of joys.....:o1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
