Hi,
Know what you mean about the clumping, I damp dust with a micro fibre cloth first, then the steam cleaner is just killing germs (and mould for me).My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I just sweep with a soft broom first. We have the same yellow steam cleaner and I have floors and rugs to clean over the Christmas break. It's a boring job but so nice when it is done. I use a eco almond smelling cleaner on the floor too but essential oils sprinkled before you clean makes a big difference. The smell after is SO upliftingIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I think to be honest it would help if I broke out the vacuum cleaner more often. :rotfl:
I have loads of mould problems too redo, not helped by masses of condensation due to single glazing and having no tumble dryer. Hopefully this will be helped next year with new windows.
Almond oil sounds lovely. I may have to source some. I imagine your house smelling of Bakewell Tart. To be honest I've hardly touched my steamer after buying it. I need to use it regularly and have done for the past few days. Again its all down to having so much clutter and struggling to work around things. A bit of the going on in my house.
I started the day feeling panicked. I had done no wrapping and not started mums trousers. As of now all gifts are draped and the trousers are mostly done. I will finish them off tomorrow. Then I will need to a massive tidy and clean.
I will be heading off to bed soon as I'm off down the butchers when they open at 5.30 am tomorrow. I don't want to get stuck in a queue and we only have to pick up the order and take it home.
If I don't get on tomorrow have a lovely christmas. :xmastree::xmassign::rudolf::santa2:1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

I rarely vacuum either
I bought vacuum bags to get to grips over this Christmas break so come the new year the floors should be hoovered and steam cleaned...We shall see
Much more importantly than the hoovering, have a wonderful Christmas and have a rest too. Thanks for inspiring me all year long :AIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks guys and merry Christmas to you all.
Well yesterday I was so behind I thought I would never get done. Today I finished earlier than I thought and have just got the pressure downstairs so all I need to do now is go to bed.
Tomorrow is a day off then I will start again on boxing day. I find the it after Christmas a bit frustrating and I usually get the urge to do stuff. I'm going to get a load of stuff done between now and new year (hopefully with a trip to the tip).
As much as I would like to pay all of my best in the next year, and I'm going to try as hard as I can, one thing I can control is the house clutter. This time next year imwill b clear and clean, with hopefully the windows and rewiring done (along with the decorating).
Anyway, have a fab day tomorrow. :beer:1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hello everyone and I hope you had a nice day yesterday. I Was enjoying it until DH put on the annual misery fest (oops sorry EastEnders and coronation street). Cue a bath then putting DS to bed. How I would love to take a shotgun to the TV.:rotfl:
I have started this morning by doing some washing and starting to clear the kitchen. After I come back from mother in laws I will continue with the big clear out. I'm wondering what I can achieve before going back to work on 4th jan. I think I may start going through draws this afternoon and get rid of some of the outgrown and damaged clothes. I may keep a list, or take photos of what I achieve.
I also have some fabrics in want to make into clothes before the start of the year then I will retire the jeggings  forever.
Anyway I must get on. Have a good day.x1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
