The PIP meeting was stressful and I don't want to do it again. I can only wait and see.

It's been lovely for the past few days and today I've replaced the pipe from the sink to the drain outside. It's been missing for a long time and the path down the garden has become very slipped with greasy water from the sink. It's all do e now and I feel good. I get so frustrated with not being able to do lots but I managed to do this. I'm pooped now though. Oh and I already had all the bits in the cellar so it cost nothing.:T

I would like to achieve something else tomorrow but I will wait to see how I feel In the morning.

Next week I'm going to try to do some painting in the sitting room. With a couple of us it shouldn't take more than a day or two to do the walls if we take it easy. I can then focus on the woodwork. It's absolutely filthy so needs doing desperately.

I'm feeling positive at the moment so want to achieve what I can. If only I could make a dent in the clutter. Whatever I do there still seems as much. Someone is definitely pushing it up through the floor.:rotfl:

Have a sunny Sunday everyone. X

Well done on fixing the pipe! That kind of task is always a combination of satisfaction at having finally done it, and annoyance that you didn't get round to it before :)

Hope you continue with your successes.

Once again thanks for your lovely comments.

I've come to the conclusion I'm rubbish at this. I keep forgetting to update. Anyway I've been trying to focus on sorting the house recently. I'm not getting as far as I like but it's getting less and less.

Money wise it's difficult. I'm planning to back to work soon as I can't carry on like this. I'm currently on maintenance medication so it should be ok. I really, really need the money so have no choice. I'm still waiting to hear about pip but feel that I won't get it. I'm not going to start again though, it's not worth getting upset about.

Anyway, mum bless her gave me some money this morning. I've put it into my credit union account in case of future emergencies. 10% of all future incoming will be going to this fund. Whatever frugality it takes I want some emergency money once and for all.....oh and the debt gone.

I also got a load of seeds from @ldi last week so need to start planning to get them in.

I will try my hardest to be better at this and keep updating. Have a fab weekend ahead.

Aww parsnip sorry to hear you feel you need to go back to work so soon hopefully your work will be supportive

Do you know how long you need to wait for a outcome from pip??

I agree an emergency fund is a great idea, I wish I had more in ours but I want these debts gone first but with your situation it completely makes sense xx

Hope you have a nice quiet weekend xx

Will your work be able to amend your duties to take account of extra tiredness etc?

I think you will have sorted even more at home than you realise - the difficulty being that what's gone is invisible so you take notice of what remains, instead. I'm still in awe of the way you just keep on working on it!

Lovely of your Mum, bless her. And saving for a rainy day is great. :)

  • That is really kind of your mum and hopefully will give you peace of mind to have some emergency savings :).

Sorry you feel you need to go back to work so soon. I hope as Cherry says they can make some concessions for you, like reduced hours or less tiring work.
