Ooh narco yuk at the oil and enjoy your well-deserved cappuccino.

Yuk indeed, it was a bit more than a litre. Car stinks now. Decided to have not only the cappuccino but a chicken tikka in Mr Sbury while we were in there.

I have cleaned the blood from the hall, vacuumed up the feathers and cleaned the living room. Took half an hour in my house! Still haven't found the body though!

Well that sounds even messier than oil...........yummy.
Went to tip, bank, Mr A and Mr S.

The doc saga continues; checked with physio and she hadn't received any radiography report, despite me leaving written instructions to surgery to send it to her. Rang them to be told they won't email stuff as it is deemed insecure - would have been nice if they'd told me that in the first place. Drove to surgery to collect the report, emailed it to physio myself only to get a reply that she was on leave till next Thurs. At least the 2nd receptionist changed my Sat appt for one on Thurs. Maybe I'm just a wimp, but is it unreasonable of me to have expected some sort of communication even if just to say "had the report; won't do anything; get on with your life"?

Came back and answered a whole load of emails, looks like more work enquiries.
Just dug/weeded bit of garden and to our joy, a nestbox full of blue tit chicks were taking their first flight, flitting around the trees over our heads and squeaking. Such tiny things.

Dizzy we do not want to hear about your good weather, thank you very much. Unless you want to have all the flyladies turn up at your caravan for the day which I can imagine is the last thing you need!

Herts reached the grand heights of 12 degrees today. And saw the sun for all of 1 minute. A caravan picnic in the sun sounds great, I'll get my coat...........

 OMG - visitors who will find out my terrible secret that I am a carp flylady! Iona has already promised to visit to help with my [STRIKE][STRIKE]wildlife sanctuary/Steptoe's yard/landfill[/STRIKE] garden, but.....

Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, I'm burnt, despite sunscreen. I have a fetching lacy pattern branded onto my back from my sundress and I could pass for Rudolf's sister as my shnoz is glowing!

Lovely neighbour has given us a jar of honey and an harmful of rhubarb, so a great end to another great day. :D

Mr N has just come in to see how my report writing is going, sheepishly brandishing a hot water bottle saying it must be a first for the 3rd June.

    Evening all

DH has done a good job of keeping the house tidy while I have been away. The worst room is definitely the study bedroom (my responsibility). However, he didn't do much washing, so I have spent the past 24 hours loading and unloading the WM. Fortunately we have had sunshine today so I've been able to dry it all outside. Almost all up to date now, including the sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers off the guest beds, and I've only got one blouse, one of DH's shirts and one pair of trousers to iron tomorrow :D

I also managed to get lost in the nearby new town this afternoon on the way to a meeting. I ended up knocking on someone's door to ask for directions and meeting the most delightful elderly couple and their lovely gentle Oz-type dog - so now you know why your ears were burning, FBO.

I haven't forgotten, Dizzy! but I thought you probably had enough on your plate for the time being, what with builders and insurance assessors. Has your garden recovered from the floods? Mine needs some TLC but is looking bright with forget-me-nots and yellow/orange poppies, all self-seeded.

    Plans for tomorrow:
    - Phone DD re birthday presents (tried several times this evening but engaged)
    - DH off to play trains all day
    - 10:00 meeting
    - Clear top of c-o-d in study bedroom
    - Sort paperwork *again*
    - Practise music for Sunday morning's service (regular organist away, relief organist ill, so...)
    - Go to GC for some veg plants for big pots
    - Get out in garden for a while - it needs tidying up before the Old Wives' fundraising evening here on Monday
    - QHI

My sister told us, today, that the chemo has not worked. She is now to have a mastectomy next week, assuming she is ok to proceed. I am devastated. On a plus note bil us super-impressed with how clean the rooms I cleaned are!
