It has been an expensive and rotten day here. DH came home having a panic attack after some trouble at work. My friend is losing her job.(

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good on either count. I hope DH recovers quickly.

We've continued with a garage blitz and sorted all the tins of paint, decorating brushes/scrapers/rollers, shoe cleaning box (did I ever have green shoes that I got polish for??), oil and all sorts of gumpf that was on a set of shelves. Trip to the tip tomorrow I think, and 3 things on Freecycle.

    1 Report finished and emailed.

Finally the sun came out today.

Lovely day doing not a lot. DD2 came over and we just relaxed. I did manage to change DS' bedding because it was disgusting. It went through twice on a 60degree wash before I would let it out of the machine.

Otherwise we lunched, snoozed and giggled. And ordered a dress for me to wear to the wedding.

Well I'm sitting here whimpering as Mr N has bravely put all our horse clutter in a huge plastic box and is driving it to the local horse rescue place. We've tried a couple of boot sales and some stuff just isn't shifting. It's not the money, it's all those memories - the only horse I owned; horses I loaned/rode for people; the donkey family I saved pennies to buy stuff for when I was 14, Mr N's horse (now happy in his 'new') home. But we're never going to have horses again; hopefully the charity will use or sell the items for the benefit of other horses and our garage is a whole lot bigger. We've just kept a couple of saddles...

Ok sorry for whingeing, back to my report. But it is a huge declutter.

Why have you had to give up your horses? Sounds like you still love being around them etc.

I've got sunburn - been another scorcher here :D The whole half-term to date has had amazing weather in our neck of the woods. Had a BBQ for tea with Pimms and ginger beer tonight and have a day of laziness planned for tomorrow.

I have been keeping things fairly tidy and the WM has been on the go non-stop, so I'm hoping there won't be too much catching up to do at the weekend!

Really cold and windy here in Herts too. When we were doing the garage declutter I was wearing a fleece onesie with a T shirt underneath and a fleece shirt on top!! Flaming June indeed. Got our payment confirmed for this quarter's solar panels and it's unsurprisingly pathetic.

    Tomorrow's plan:
    finish another report
go to tip. Mr N has another day off so if weather still yucky we may just have to go to Mr A then the garden centre for more grow bags and some coffee!
Must plant French marigolds. And talking of plants, I got some cheap delphiniums last week so used loads of slug pellets - I don't like using them, but I can never keep delphiniums and I love them. Looked today and there are 20-30 dead snails and slugs round the delphiniums. Yuck. I'm so horrible.........

Frizzle same here. Its been freezing, have had the little oil heater on in my office all day. Glad the kitchen plans are moving on Bossy.

Lots of tricky paid stuff here. No flying except a bit of laundry and the very basics.

DS has gone out on a work do. He may or may not need picking up. I have sent him 2 texts now asking what he is doing because I would quite like to go to bed if he is getting a lift home. Sigh.
