Running to catch up as usual. Aiming for my "every time I leave a room I will have done 3 cleaning/tidying acts in it" today.
    - DW emptied.
    - upstairs bins emptied
    - clothes put away in bedroom
-new handwash taken down from bathroom to kitchen where it's needed
    - emails caught up with (although not the millions of red actions:eek:
    - friend sponsored on JustG1ve for a run

    Main plans today are:
    finish at least 1 report
do what should have been done on Monday's room and a bit of Tues
sort out a pile in the study which is ready to topple

OK I'm not going to spend time writing any more but will grab a :coffee: and get started.

Morning all! Well today I have been a lazy moo!!!! Laid in bed with little miss until 9.30!!!!! Boys playing nicely on the ps. Lovely cuddles!!!!
Got up and made breakfast, made a phonecall, sent some texts and then came back to bed to feed little miss. Cue more lonely cuddles and cooing. Part of me feels bad but never get to spend time like this with just the two of us so I am justifying it to myself. Weather is yucky outside and no plans to go anywhere which never happens. So a chill out day at home is planned!!!

Going to crack on now though.....

Well, I wondered what the smell of burning plastic was and finally tracked it down to Mike Flood's work van (toy) that had been cleverly hidden inside the slow cooker, which had been switched on at the plug, then turned to 'high'.....seriously? I'd already removed a red pepper and a slipper from it this morning. Gotta love school holidays...

I'd hide the slow cooker dizzy. Little imps when they are bored in the hols aren't they.

Finished knitting and put together the hedgehogs 1EKm7H.th.jpg
had someone Dh knows round to price up new drain covers, hopefully he's back on Friday to do the work.
Ds2 is in school on extra exam lessons and ds1 has taking day off work to go London to see the Book of Mormon with a friend as their birthday treat.

Just going to tidy the bits of wool and sewing scraps away then I'll get flying.

We had workmen booked to come and finish a small job off at 12 noon today... so where on earth are they?! It was specifically booked at noon on the basis it will take them an hour or so, and is quite noisy, so it wouldn't disturb DS when he naps from around 1pm.

I have sent a stroppy email - why can't people be on time? I know I am a SAHM but still, it doesn't mean they can turn up whenever they please! Rant over.

Need a cuppa. Dizzy - eek, at least you found it before it became a fire.

Half term coping vibes all round to those in need x

Up and about and feeling okay, but don't worry - I am still permanently attached to the sofa.

Have enough energy to read today, which is a huge bonus. Happy with the small stuff most of the time.

Having staggered upstairs I am off for a quick wash and to throw some clothes on.

    Have a good day everyone..

Glad to hear you are feeling OK CY, take it easy.

Hi to everyone else. Been at work for 2 hours and now more to do at home. DS2 to pick up at 4pm and then I will call at Lidl for some shopping. Then gym class and maybe a bit more work.

Washing out even though its cold and windy. Some clean washing to put away but I will tackle that later.

    Enjoy your reading CY.
    Welcome newbies.

Well we didn't go for a bike ride yesterday as the weather was foul, so we went to the garden centre for lunch instead.

Today I have been up since before 6 and have done the dailies, hoovered right through, emptied the ironing basket, walked the dogs and had a bowls match (which I lost). The weather is still not great but DH has gone into work again today.

So I'm just waiting for a MrT order which is due in the next hour. Then I plan to walk the dogs again. And tonight we're meeting friends for a meal out.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

    Making slow progress.
    - kitchen is greatly improved although admittedly not perfect, but that is enough time spent on it.
    - About 3/4 of the way through a report, so should finish it today
    - done a whole range of little bits including: reading the solar meter and submitting the readings;
    - filled in 2 pay claims and walked to PO to post one (took long way round and had a bit of a jog on the way back);
    - sorted out church flower rota
-ordered some stationery and a new recipe file
    - continued with the leave -a-room-better-than-you-found-it so most rooms look marginally better than they did.

Resisted the temptation to do some gardening, although having been outside I realise it isn't as cold and windy as it looks from my study.
