I know it's incredibly woo. Eldest had an emergency christening/blessing in hospital but they never had another ceremony now she's about to start school and has her two little sisters and are all in good health. I think they want to give thanks for what they have and have all their blessings counted together.

Raining here as well now, I can hear my waterbutt filling steadily as its just below the lounge window.

Just made a cuppa and am going to do a few rows of knitting

Ooo a burst of energy, :rotfl:

Dusted vacced and changed my bed too. Happily have no floordrobe to sort and my drawers and wardrobe are all beautiful after recent purges.

I will wipe the stair handrail down though...

Lots of kitchen stuff not done, everything is getting replaced so I'm fairly relaxed about cleaning in there, lol.

Jackets are in the air fryer - getting nicely crisped. I might spend half an hour after dinner in my office - desk is a bit unruly... Will listen to my online course at the same time I think. Trying to get in the habit of Tuesday's being a study day. Even though I'm between colleges, I still want to keep a hand in for good habit reasons.

    Afternoon All,

Just popping back on with a cuppa whilst the kiddies have their tea. DH has phoned to say he will be late home so I need to get organised for kids bathtime/bedtime whilst prepping dinner (DH usually does the bath/bed routine). He is starving and shattered so I might have to carb up the meal I had planned!

Been reasonably productive today - paid all bills, forced myself on a walk into the village with the kiddies even though its blowing a hooly and cooked them a chicken dinner. DW doing its thing and washing is airing over the radiators. Bathrooms S&S, and vacc'd upstairs and down.

It is cool now, I think I will light the fire in a bit. Then perhaps a glass of vino in front of the tv. I am really looking forward to June - May seems to have involved paying out left right and centre, hopefully we can reign in the spends a bit now.

I hope you all have lovely evenings xx

I like the sound of your glass of vino by the fire typicalblonde, we haven't got a fireplace in our house just radiators I always had proper fires in my childhood homes so sort of still miss them. My favourite hostelry has a lovely open fire in the lounge.
Tonight got a parents meeting for a summer scheme things ds2 is doing, got to go as its his school prom half way through the residential week so I need to confirm he will be let out and allowed back in after. So he can do both now there all paid for.

    Hi all

Been away for the weekend and came home a bit earlier than we planned because of the weather. Feeling a bit fed up because I am on holiday from job no. 1 this week but there is still a lot to be done on job no. 2, and both kids are at work tomorrow so will need dropping off and collecting.

Bossy I need to do a clothing cull. In fact does anyone ever feel like just chucking all their clothes in the clothing bank because none of it really appeals any more. If only I had the money.

Anyhow the house is fairly tidy, mountains of washing to be done. Tea in the oven, need to try and tempt DS1 to eat, have realised this weekend how little he is eating at the moment.

Hope today went OK CY. And typicalblonde I refuse to light the fire ... but we currently have the heating on!

I'm feeling quite happy about the state of the house so far this week. We decluttered a lot more toys and games at the weekend and the front room is feeling a lot tidier. We dont have loads of clutter anyway as I did Minsgame for about 6 months of last year.

Nice roast chicken for dinner. Sitting with a glass of wine and some fruit and nut waiting for the final load of washing to finish.

    Night all.

Narco - just had a look at some of that music; love We're Not Gonna Take It!

Yes I thought it would appeal to you!

Howling a gale plus rain today, so the weekend's planting will be well watered in.
Finished a report and emailed it 8.30am then did another assessment 9.30, sigh, so my pile isn't getting any smaller! Still I have no more assessments booked for this week, so I may be able to catch up.

Dropped the now clean church mugs back at the church so that's a bit of clutter out of the kitchen.
Decluttered 3 programmes we'd recorded; I'm still ploughing through The A Word and we've given up on all the Chelsea Flower Show programmes we recorded.

That's about it other than catching up on emails and cooking dinner. More flying tomorrow I think.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
