    Evening all,

bob glad you are doing what is best for you, what will you do next?

SFD number 3 here :) Very busy work day so 16000+ steps done without trying and without dog walking. It was really hot here today but also muggy, wonder if we'll get the rain tomorrow, my garden needs it and my water butt is empty.

Off to bed now, night turtles

    Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the kind comments. Eager Elephant thanks for the link. I've read so many differing opinions that I'm not really sure anymore. I'm a member of a landlord association though and their advice is not to enter unless absolutely necessary, as if it went to court they usually favour tenants. I'm just going to try and put it to the back of my mind until I can get in there next week. Easier said than done though when I have neighbours texting me telling me about who is going in and out and what is being removed!

I had an email first thing this morning about the election work I did, apologising for no payment yet and promising it soon, so that's something. Today has been another NSD and I have had a few business orders, not for a huge amount but it all helps. Took lunch to work and have a batch of hm soup for the next 2 days.

Bob sounds like you have made the right decision.

Mothernerd sorry to hear about the fridge, just glad there's no too much waste for you.

Hi all! Just popping in to declare NSD number 5/20. Sorry been so busy lately. Yesterday was a spendy day, spent £47.94 for the weekly food shop and £38 for petrol. Finished one top this evening (made my first mandarin collar, yippee) from my wombled fabric. Hoping to wear it tomorrow at the sewing class so it's now hung in front of the radiator.

Ate 2 massive frogs today. Finally managed to "harass" staff at expenses department to enrol me for the expenses claim scheme at work. I have about 5 1/2 month's worth of travel expenses to claim but I think I'll only manage to claim up to 3 months as per rules. I am hoping to receive at least £150 for them. Fingers crossed. In connection with this, I also managed to ring my insurers to update my car insurance cover to include aforementioned extra travels to different work sites. Been procrastinating about this for the last 5 months. I only paid £6 extra for the whole year and £15 admin fee, which annoys me a little bit because I just renewed my car insurance last April and had I been bothered to mention it to the insurers then, I wouldn't have had to pay the admin fee. Lessons learnt: procrastination costs money.

Flycleaning went out of the window this evening and I blame it on the sewing. I should have finished my ironing (only a small batch left) but the pull of my Brother (sewing machine) was stronger than that of the iron. I'll try harder tomorrow to be more disciplined and tackle the housework before the sewing. But then again dressmaking comes before housework in the dictionary doesn't it? It stands to reason.........

I best go to bed. Good night everyone!

    Morning Turtles

Sorry Calling thought I had posted here before about the business. I made my mind up last week and informed the landlord of my plans. I have given myself until the end of the year to get it sold . If I cant it will just be a matter of stripping it out and getting out. But with the area the business is in being a major 'hipster' location these days and new food businesses opening all the time I hope to find a good level of interest.

Thanks Apple Welshkitty Mothernerd and fmess for the support.

Mothernerd thanks for all the flea advice!

TOG Im up to date on flying too this week. Dont really have a room of doom but if we do have it must be the dining room which has my husband's comic collection in it which we have been selling off bits of. But there are hundreds of them in boxes which need to go!

Listed the pair of Air Max I found at the weekend on my walk, on ebay. Suggested starting bid £18 to £42. So have gone for the bottom end as its all extra ££s anyway.

    Have a great wednesday all.

    Bob

Sorry we cross posted. Thanks Dizzy. I dont have a specific plan to be honest other than getting as much out of the sale as possible. The initial investment came from the sale of our family home. So it is important to get as much back as possible.

    Morning everyone.

Today will be a NSD and a long day in work.

The GF has nearly ran out of money for the remainder of the month, so we'll stick through it and grind it out without high expenditure. Although a slow start from me, I'll be sure to rack up NSD's.

Taken part in a sweepstake in work for the Euros. £4 with a chance to win £30 or £18. I've drawn Poland and Croatia, so that was £4 down the drain haha

    Good morning.

Well, the SFDs are coming in now. Finally number 4 for me.

Good luck with the sale Bob.

Busy busy again mothernerd. Sorry to hear about the fridge breaking. Can you get it fixed or will you have to buy a new one?

TOG well down for getting the expenses claim scheme sorted.

WelshKitty glad the election work payment will be sorted soon.

Not much to report here. Finally heavy rain last night so I didn't have to water the plants. will need to find some straw for the strawberries soon. Got loads of fruit on them this year. Luckily they are not as droopy as last year but would still like to cover the ground. Any idea where to get some?

Also only smoked 1 and 1/2 rollies last night, another reduction. Didn't have the first on till 8pm (i know why bother ;). So we'll get there. What seemed to work for me and DH is to break the habits slowly, but for good rather than go cold turkey. 6 years ago we were on 20 a day, first one with the morning coffee, which I now can't even imagine anymore. Now we just have to get rid of the last one/two, the reward after a day finished. Maybe I should substitute with a glass of wine, mmmhhhh.....

Went to the shop last night to get milk and yogurts for the kids, cat litter and some stir fry sauce. But then saved some money by going to the garden and harvesting some bak choi for the stir fry and salad for my lunch. Will start harvesting potatoes next weekend so won't need to buy them any more. Will see if I can keep some in the ground or store them for next year so I don't need to buy new seed potatoes. Was it you mothernerd that said just keep them in the ground?

    See you later

Just back from a science trade fair at uni where they tempt you with freebies. Got a trolley coin as I can never find a pound, some sweeties and some free seeds (flowers and basil), a wee foldaway shopping bag and a room thermometer :money:.

My days at work will drop back from 4 to 2 in July. I am soooo looking forward to it! Yes, there is the obvious drop in income, but the improved quality of life... without equal!

However, I have been offered approx 1/2 a day extra from Sept. Teaching reception, y1 and y2. I am a secondary teacher and the ankle biters scare me as much as the teenagers scare the primary teachers! I need to weigh it up and let them know fairly soon. I welcome any and all comments/ opinions on the matter. My subjects are French and Spanish and I would be 'teaching' them French.
