Welshkitty You have my sympathies. Hope you can get to the bottom of the tenant situation quickly.

Calling sorry to hear about your knee. Sounds painful.

Thrifty I do recognise that feeling you describe of feeling taken over. I have felt it recently when I have settled DD for the evening and then she wakes just as Ive sat down. You feel frustrated to loose the time you desperately need to yourself..I don't think there is a work around its just human nature.

Mothernerd I think thats so important, focusing on what is in front of you. Clearing jobs as you go. Keeps the mind grounded in the now.

Sorry about your tenant Welsh Kitty and not getting paid for your extra work.

Calling hope your knee heals quickly.

Thrifty I took the easy option of lowering my standards when I had 3 boys. I did manage fairly well with the first two although we did spend lots of time reading and playing but DS3 was untrainable and when I was left with the three of them (husband, even before he became the ex, working >300 miles away spending all our money, me doing the business paperwork, running a house, looking after 3 boys and studying, plus suffering from PTSD when DS3 and I were involved in an accident when he was 6 months old). It got to the point where I could either shout at them all the time trying to get them to do things, run myself ragged trying to do everything myself or let a few things go.

I also remember one of them saying to me that it was their house too and that all the boys in the street (5 houses, no girls) thought our house was the right amount of tidy. Everyone else's children were always in our house, so there must be some truth in it.

Bob fleas spend 90% of the time not on the cat. AS well as treating the cat, you need the household spray and to treat all the carpets (particularly under radiators) and cat bedding. If you shampoo the carpet, you need to repeat the treatment.

I'm already on the naughty step for NSDs. I don't appear to have had many yet. All spends were needed, nothing frivolous or unnecessary, but I have to say my planning is carp.

Sorry to hear about your tenants WelshKitty. I have a six-monthly inspection clause written into my contracts which allows my letting agent to pop over and check everything is OK. Touch wood, my tenants are super, so no complaints. And rude raspberry noises for unpaid overtime - that sucks.

Brolly? We've needed sunscreen here for the past ten days as its been so hot. Not sure whereabouts you are apple, but we appear to be in the tropics!

Feeling overwhelmed is my current state too Thrifty, so you have my sympathies. I have no time for myself at all and it's very hard. Sending hugs x

Yesterday wasn't a NSD however I did manage to do some grocery shopping on a budget. Today should be only the cost of my gym class - £5, damn!

Spending is low, however I'd rather have no spend. Frustrating.

Is this gym class a regular occurrence? You could class it as a bill as others do with for instance the after school activities etc that you have to pay on the day regularly. I.e. they don't count as spends if you imagine you filled a pot at the start of the month with 40 quid to go to the gym 8 times this month. So as long it's the only spend that day you still get a SFD.

Hello Everyone... sorry for being entirely lame this weekend with posts. Tis still freezing here so I have been holed up knitting - I topped up with wool on Sunday having returned some 'orrid stuff I bought in a rush. Don't think I will need any more for a while - my current pattern (for a scarf) is horrendously complicated but so addictive.

Transferred a hefty £819 exactly ($1702 ) to my UK account and hey presto my CC should be clear come Thursday. :T Thats a relief.

Now only £1600 / $3250 to the boyfriend. I will be dividing that into 6 equal payments of $525 - to be stashed and transferred altogether in July - might miss my predicted DFD by one week but it's gonna go either way. Exchange rate changed a little and cost me more this week so fingers crossed it will settle for the next transfer in 6 weeks.

Friends visiting this weekend from Sydney - they have been appraised of my financial goals so hopefully not a spendy few days.

    5 NSD's so far.

Colleague leaving to travel at the end of our 3 month contract (hopefully they will let me stay) and I am rather jealous. Makes me more determined to plan better for 2017 adventures.

Anyway must knit... shall be reading over posts as well. For whom ever was interested I work for an Ombudsman service over here - quite good pay for what I do. Thoroughly dull but nice environment - beggars can't be choosers eh?

    Onwards!
