Well, I really hope it is May but I'm not sure that the members will necessarily vote the same way as the MPs. Just look at Labour for an example!

She will sell out for remain I tell you! Why do you want May anyway?

I bet my bottom dollar she will get all sides of the house to reject the result as they are already plotting to go against democracy and keep the StatusnQuo!

I say the Queen should ENFORCE the new PM to keep the word of the Government and not let all those jobsworths in parliament keep the status quo for themselves and chums in the EU . The Pro Eu lot will try to keep things the way they are and not Leave ! Why? As said before not'legally binding' just the people's advisory to the Government of what is wanted! I bet May will reject Brexit I bet you and then we will see Brexiteers out on the streets!

By the way if it had been the other way round I bet no one would have been calling to ignore the result, rallies ,media interest and the BBC would have packed up on the Friday that week as they would have got what they wanted,'west London dinner circuit and luvvies dreams' away from reality and out for number 1!

By the way I like the way all these Actors and celebs like old Patrick Pickard saying vote IN when they do not live in the Uk but in America or Spain! Lordy laughable and shows how desperate 'remain was'. Every dirty trick and !!!!!!!! in the book was carried out by 'remain' and hey got what they deserved ,Failure and rightly so!

They are'nt laughing now! The future is bright, the future is independent.

Did Boris ever get around to renouncing his American citizenship? Presumably thats a far more pertinent question than the views of some washed up actors.

Anyway, always though it highly amusing that the most anti-eu newspapers (Mail, Express, etc) are all based off shore.

Proud to be British, but just not enough to pay their taxes here. You may also want to look at some of Leadsom's former companies and trusts in that respect.

What lies came from leavers? The £350 million a day claim was false, but the amount is large, so really the point that we contribute a lot is true. (In truth we'll end up paying a fee to trade, ho hum.) I did not hear nasty stuff or lies from the mainstream leavers, doubtless some fringe types said unpleasant things. But frankly the leave message was swamped by the massive nastiness from the remainers. I am still astonished at how nasty many remainers are still being.

Pofessor Michael Dougan (Professor in EU law) described the Leave campaign as being "....guilty of dishonesty on an industrial scale" and that the campaign was "conducted on of the most dishonest political campaigns that this country has ever seen".

I want May because she's the only one of the realistic winners who presented herself like a Prime Minister. I heard her speech on the radio when she disclosed she would be a candidate and she talked sense and in the restrained way that I expect of a leader. She has experience in a top cabinet post which Leadson does not. I watches all of the pre-referendum debates on TV and was completely unimpressed with Leadson whose only answer to virtually every question was that we should "take control". She sounded pretty dim to me. I actually voted to leave based on the few facts I knew once I had discarded what I perceived to be lies on both sides but, after seeing the initial consequences, I would vote to remain if I knew then what I know now. Of the other candidates, the only one I might have been happy with was Gove but after all his double dealing he's proved himself not suitable for high office as far as I'm concerned although, sadly, I suspect that most politicians are probably just as untrustworthy!

That's probably an improvement (if you can get past the mental image, that is).

Does it need a professor to tell me Joe Public what was plain-obvious on day 1, that both Leave and Remain campaigns were 'disingenuous'?

The only question for me was, which was the most dishonest, examples being '£350m per week for the NHS' or 'Brexit will cost £4300 per household'. The predictions coming from the govt side were the most pernicious as the the spokespersons should have known better.

All in all I think the Brexit campaign did the least lying.
