The EU: IN or OUT?

For example I would bet on the UK to remain in the EU, so if they did I would be gutted but will at least have some money to go pick up, But if Britain left the EU and I lost say, £100 then I would just shrug my shoulders and say "worth it".:)
"Betting on something you don't want to happen" is just a longer way of saying "insurance". At the current odds £1k turns into £5k if we leave and compensates for the inevitable downturn in my UK equities portfolio and job prospects.0 -

That's my thinking too. As someone who's never placed a bet before I'm curious as the post before about how to do it!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I dont bet but the OH does. I dont buy lottery tickets either.
So i'll use his betting acct online to bet on leave i guess lol.0 -

I've just used Paddy Power through the Oddschecker link provided above. I did check TCB to see what offers they had on but the TCB companies which did have decent offers on didn't seem to be offering odds on this bet.
The odds were 4 to 1 to leave. I note more of the other companies odds on this bet are now shortening to 3.5 to 1.
I funded it via debit card (to hopefully ensure no 'card fees').
Once I placed the bet I also got 3 x £10 'free bets' - which I placed on 3 teams for the Euro 2016 Champs.
Start of July I'll close the account down.0 -

Which three teams? Germany, Spain and either France (hosts) or England I would pick.
Probably France actually because if England win it I would not care about a few quidEarn, Save and Achieve0 -

France, Germany and Italy.
Agree on the England sentiment - hence why I left them out.0 -

At 22:18 on Monday 30th May.
Remain pays 1:5
Leave pays 7:2
As a hedging exercise, there is not much point.
If you are going to be £2,000 worse off, would you really bet £570 on Leave?0 -

I'm surprised you omitted Spain. Italy are always up there although if I had to pick one I'd have to go for ze Germans.Earn, Save and Achieve0 -
Bets placed, just wish I'd done it earlier with better odds. Took a bit of working out - makes investing seem easy in comparison!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
