There are some interesting statistics in the below article analysing the type of people wanting to remain in the EU and those that want to quit.

Interesting read but it has to be taken with a huge pinch of salt when you consider all of the mainstream polls got the voting intentions for the General Election very wrong....

You failed to get many points.

something I have admired about Britain is its openness to nationalities and all cultures
There are 7 billion people in the world, should we welcome anyone and everyone who wishes to come here? Why do you want to bankrupt the government and privatise the NHS & schools? Personally I want more Asians in the country as I battle with a case of yellow fever

to single out specific nationalities is horrible and sounds like you have a specific hatred for certain nationalities
Or, if you weren't so blindly PC, it would make sense of providing 2 differing examples; the Greeks with their 50% youth unemployment and the Turks, hoping to join soon & adding an extra 20% to the free movement population, with their extremely low minimum wage, large population and knowing how much Brits love kebab.

Also, last time I checked, if you wanted a job in a supermarket, so long as you are reasonably well educated, willing to work and enthusiastic - you can get it.
There is only a finite number of jobs. When the population of Britain suddenly grows by 2 million there will not be jobs to sustain that meaning benefits will have to cover the cost.

How many times have you read about a) teenage pregnancies getting a council house? b) people abusing the disability system c) people generally abusing and exploiting loopholes in domestic policy? The list goes on and on.
These are equally disgusting situations but some of it can't be fixed. Surely the approach can't be "if some of us abuse it, lets let others too". I walked my dog the other day and there was a Polish guy with his, to make sure they didn't fight I asked him which direction he wanted to go with, the response was "no English". Someone with such limited vocabulary will struggle to find a job. On the other hand a Chinese person has to secure employment before arriving and it will be high skilled to meet the strict non-EU worker regulations.

And no, job cuts are not inevitable as technology improves - this is a weak point
It actually isn't. Just Google the recent news about Chinese factories buying more & more robot arms. At supermarkets I love self-service as it's more efficient. The lower skilled jobs are the ones that will face the axe and it is the lower skilled jobs that the "no English" EU residents look to fill meaning the chance of your son getting a summer job at uni becomes much lower.

He has told us all we should be staying in, yet now has the embarrassment of hosting a poll where there are all these ungrateful people saying ignore him and vote out.
I am pretty sure Martin said he was staying on the fence over it.

Maybe some of his loyal followers, weren't following his posts entirely ;).

Sometimes it's best not to argue with people on discussion boards - because the tone gets lowered significantly to blasting certain nationalities and verges on racism. I hope people will let the real vote do the talking - the numbers on this poll are very small.

Can we at least agree that if the Scottish Referendum had gone the other way, it really would have been hilarious. With the dip in oil price, how many Scottish economic migrants would we be looking at now?

Remember, Scotland the country would not be in the EU, so there is no freedom of movement.

Would we be building Hadrian's Wall II?
And ask the Scottish to pay for it, like Donald Trump?

If they beg to come back, I would demand that they cede power to Westminster, dissolve Holyrood, and kiss the picture of the Queen whilst swearing loyalty to the crown.

Can you people please get it through your skulls that MOST PEOPLE IN SCOTLAND DO NOT WANT INDEPENDANCE.

Westminster is MY parliment as much as it is yours; why either of us would kiss a picture of the Queen is debatable, but she is the monarch of everyone in the UK.

I get the polling your vote in person thing, I am flying home just to vote against the Donald.

Slightly off thread but for those of us who are

    a) Looking to have a bet on this
    b) Have no wish to have further bets on other stuff afterwards

Can anyone recommend any offers as the betting world is a completely alien one to me.
