  • Guys there is great information on this thread, Thanks.

I have been trying to purchase a Glass's Guide the current one. Do you know where I can get one ?
  • Can I thank everyone for this thread, there is some really useful information here. I am trying to find a car through BCA or another auction and getting information without being in the trade is hard. I would be really greatful if you could see if there are any of the following cars around which would be really helpful:

    MAKE: Saab 93 Convertible
    Model: Any
    Engine size: 2 litre
    Petrol or deisel: Petrol
manual or automatic or tiptronic: either
Registration years most interested in: 2004 to 2006
How much you have to spend: £10K (including VAT)
    colour (if important): Any
BCA venue: Any North/Midlands (Leeds is best)

I may be able to stretch to a Audi A4 Convertible, but am not sure if I am being realistic with my budget:

    MAKE: Audi
    Model: A4 Convertible
    Engine size: 2.5 tdi
    Petrol or deisel: Deisel
manual or automatic or tiptronic: Any
Registration years most interested in: around 2003
How much you have to spend: £12K including VAT
    colour (if important): Any
BCA venue: Any North/Midlands (Leeds in best)

A final question, when you bid, does it include VAT or do you have to add it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

VAT is included in everything at BCA

    Your bid is VAT inclusive
The buyers fee is VAT inclusive
The buyers re-registration fee £23 (ripoff) is VAT inclusive.

VAT can only (I think) be recovered from "VAT qualifying" lots provided the purchase is for business use. I don't understand why not from any lot perhaps someone can tell me,
  • One tip with An Audi... Get Manual. Or if you really, really HAVE to have auto, make sure its Quattro, as it has a normal automatic 'box. Unlike the CVT rubbish that's on offer...

Anybody use Manheim Simulcast? It's been !!!!!! all week! Very slow at accepting bids! Damm thing...

Have to disagree on that, I have an A4 with the cvt auto, I find it a very smooth box without any problems at all ? I have had it four years and done 75k, I drive BMW, Vauxhall and Vovlo's at work, but nothing beats the smoothness of the Audi gearbox ? just depends if your a speed freak in which case yes the more power you get out at the driving wheels certainly helps with an auto. The Merc AMG are all auto's ? and you really cannot beat it for gear changing which was shown whilst testing on the Nuerberg ring.

    Hi,

We're looking to get an Audi A3 2.0 tdi sport sportback manual, about 3 years old with 40k miles max.

Could someone with an account please post details of any cars? Auctions around London and the SE would be great.

    Help and opinions appreciated.
