There rae loads of them about! I can't get enough of them for stock!

Selling 05 ones with 60k on them for under £11000.

Really? privately looking for 40k miles and they're a lot more.
  • Great thread. Having used AuctionView in the past I'm not sure I'd pay the subscription again. Having said that, if anyone can help with the following, I'd be grateful.

I'm looking for a 2003 (03) onwards A4 Avant 1.9Tdi, manual gearbox and preferrably not in Silver or Champagne. Would prefer one owner (eg ex-lease) and Sport trim but SE will do. Don't mind mileage and power output. Budget is £9.5k max.
Can any of you good people point me in the direction of any coming up in forthcoming auctions.
Midlands based but can/will travel. Currently without a car of my own so looking for one p.d.q.!
    Cheers.

Have to disagree on that, I have an A4 with the cvt auto, I find it a very smooth box without any problems at all ? I have had it four years and done 75k, I drive BMW, Vauxhall and Vovlo's at work, but nothing beats the smoothness of the Audi gearbox ? just depends if your a speed freak in which case yes the more power you get out at the driving wheels certainly helps with an auto. The Merc AMG are all auto's ? and you really cannot beat it for gear changing which was shown whilst testing on the Nuerberg ring.

I agree - its smooth, as its erm, CVT - so no changing noticed, duh!

However, I also stick to my point thats they are !!!!!!...

Just make sure the ATF gets changed every 40,000 miles - one thing Audi never tell you about though...

So if its a smooth change, and is reliable ? then what else in your technically well structured and most informative post makes them in the world of chav to be !!!!!! ?

Maybe this is from your worldly experience of tens of thousands of miles driving one, or possibly your technical knowledge in design and engineering? WoW I must on the strength of your post get this piece of smooth, reliable engineering sold immediately as it's clearly !!!!!!.
  • Hey there guys,
Wondered if you could help me find car for my wife and, we are looking for a Meriva 1.3cdti not bothered about spec, 05 plate, mileage not a prob either. Location no probs although, we live near Bedford and could get to Peterborough easily. Also Meriva 1.7cdti aswell if there are any 03-04plates around,
Hope this is all info you need thanks in advance.
    BTW Great thread!

I'm not dissing the way they are smooth etc. I'm talking about the build quality. Or lack of it. Why do you think audi dropped the CVT models off its entire range and if someone wanted auto, they sold them a Quattro version which has a conventional box...

Talk to any gearbox specialist. Or google it.

Just watch out for any jerky feeling when pulling away or coming to a rest - its the start of your problems.

As a dealer, I refuse to stock any CVT/Multitronic Audi's now because of how unrelaible they are!

Does Auction View provide you with the prices that were achieved after an auction has taken place?

Are their any kind MSE's who could provide me later with the prices that were(are) achieved at the fleet sale today at Peterborough.

I was hoping to go and watch the auction myself, to get details of prices for nearly new cars 2007 reg cars.

If auctionview does provide a list of achieved prices after the auction, please could someone PM me the list, and I will trawl through the 2007 reg cars, as there is quite a lot in today's auction.

    Thanks in advance

They don't show the results, only way to get those is to attend the auction. What they do is give an average bid price for some cars. A car of make/model/gearbox & mileage. When they have sold 5 or more of roughly the same mileage they will indicate that avg price next to the relevant LOT No. They do not do this on all cars, actually very few and I think they should spend more time in doing this.

So for your sale, someone could look and see if any lots have this avg price information available.

I'll try, but not promising anything

Thanks for your help, don't spend too long on this as I can probably attend another auction soon, thank you for trying.
