Does any kind MSEr have access to BCA's Auction View programme and would be willing to make some searches for me? I've paid for the Manheim one already, don't fancy shelling out another 15 quid
Thanks in advance

If you put up the details of what it is you are looking for, please try and narrow down makes, models, trim, gearbox, fuel etc, also which auctions you can go too, I will have a look for you.0

Easiest way is just to put your desired car up here, I can also look on BCA for you.

HOWEVER, my advice is that the auction price is very similar price to what you *should* get it for in the private sale market. But unfortunaltely private sellers always think they will get more for their car than what it's book value actually is. You will see this is the case when looking on autotrader. So theoretically it is better to buy privately than it is to buy at auction, because you have no excessive fees ontop and you can take your time examining and testing the car. The problem will be in explaining to the owner his car is not worth as much as he thinks it is.
There are some sellers on autotrader who realise the true value of their car, and as a result it is better to buy your desired car privavtely than at auction.
Having said that.....
If anyone wants prices/auction info, the best way to get hold of me is by PM, Even that won't usually be instant, as I am busier these days.0 -
Hi steve,
I got your pm but I don't really want to give my account details out openly, as Wig said if you list here what car you are wanting and the details above, I can gladly look at Manheim's auctions for youMother, wife, scientist, analyst.
