  • They look so naff as an SE don't they...?!

We gave up buying them cos they took ages to sell cos there are too many X5's about!
  • thanks, I will keep looking around still, but that is very helpful. Bridgehouse is a bit far, although.
  • Distance is only a number....
  • I did ok getting £19,995 for our 02 plate 3.0D Sport auto with 48k on it then lol
  • Wow, that is great help. I was looking around and busy on selling my current car.
After sold my car last Saturday and bought a small automatic for my wife, I am in comfortable position to hunt a car, which can drive for couple of years.
Blackbushe is so closed to my office and I can just pop down there at lunch break, that is why I would like to have a look there.
Long distance travel will push me in a position of must-buy, which I do not like it.
I opened my mind a bit and looking for an old Porsche boxster as well. I looked at price on Ebay& Autotrader and had tested drive two already.
It is nice and cheaper than I thought. I don’t have too much clue how much it cost in Blackbushe. But I believe it will be much cheaper in the auction, even after paying 500 to BCA. Do you mind help me check.

    MAKE Porsche
    Model Boxster
    Engine size 2.5L
    Petrol or deisel Petrol
manual or automatic Automatic will be cool, manual is also considered
Registration years most interested in 2000-2002
How much you have to spend 10000-15000
colour (if important) Red, does not matter too much
BCA venue (you say Blackbushe) Blackbushe

I know BMW X5 and Porsche boxster are totally different style. But be honest, they are both nice decent car and I love both.
    Appreciate your help.
    thanks
  • This will definitely make me decide only buy from an auction nearby. Visit a auction site more than 100 miles. The feeling of not winning a car and go back home with empty hand will make me depressed.

Time to get up in the morning.
    miles
    hours driving
    extra cost

    Oh and Stevewu,
keep in mind that when you buy at auction, there is usually no tax disc, so You either let them arrange delivery - 250quid or more
You have a car trailer with you - or you go home and come back with one.
You drive it out before 5pm closing time, and drive it home with no tax.

Anyone else find the auctionview is not working today?[/quote]

Auction view has been ok. Its the damm Live OnLine Sales that can be a pain when the sound breaks just as you're about to bid lol
  • Thanks for Wig reply with details. I think part of his replies are very helpful to everybody, so post it here.

The bid price includes VAT, but there is a buyers fee on top, depending on the bid price, if you phone them
    0845 600 6644
You can ask what the buyers fee will be on bid of 15,000 & 16,000 It goes up in zones of bids for example
    15,000 - 15,350 BF = 350*
    15,351 - 15, 650 BF = 355*
    15,651 - 15,999 BF = 360*
    * I just guessed these amounts, but the increments are quite small in the region of £5 per zone, so if you ask what the fee is for 15,000 and for 16,000 that will give you an idea of what the BF will be.
Confirm with them the following (just to be sure)
*Is the bid price inclusive of VAT
*What is the buyers fee for bid....
*Is there VAT ontop of the buyers fee
*You can also suggest to them that they put on their website full buying tems and conditions (unbelievably they are not there or are not easily found)
*Also suggest to them that they put on the website the full list of standard buyers fees (also unbelievably not on their website)

V5 transfer is £23.50 incl. VAT (rediculous , I totally agree, would rather post it myself to DVLA)

Ways to pay at BCA - From 17th September

    * You can now pay by MasterCard and Visa credit cards (transactions attract 2% + VAT handling fee.)
    * You can still pay with cash but from 17th September, payments will incur a 1% + VAT handling fee.
    * You can continue to pay with NO transaction fees by -
Debit Card (UK Maestro/Solo/Visa Debit and Electron)
    Cheque*
    Bank Draft*
    Telegraphic Transfer

*vehicles released on cleared funds, or subject to BCA Account and credit limit status.
