  • I can't remember what temp I cooked at, however I did get the recipe out of Good Food Magazine so I'll have a check if I can find it :D

It's definitely the best I've ever made. You'll need some whipped cream/mascapone to serve with it to prevent chocolate overload.

We have tried many and all swear by Mr Bad Examples choc yoghurt cake - I use Green & Blacks cocoa and for decadence fill it and top it with choc buttercream. The thread is on the front page of OS ATM

    HTH

:D Thanks! It's not that chocolatey as it is, to be honest, but I can imagine the addition of filling and topping would make it pretty fab. I've never bothered. :o

Please post pictures of your finished cake! :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

What effect does the vinegar have on it, do you use malt, white, cider or what...be interested to hear about the result

i use malt because thats usually what i have in (and thats what i remember using as a kid). it doesn't taste at all of vinegar, is just a yummy scrummy sticky cake.

    Hi melie,

I don't think it was ever a sticky, but you should find a recipe to suit you on this thread so I've added your post to it to keep all the recipes together.

Hiya, I'm guessing that you mean one or more of our Indexed Collections (very probably the MEGA Index which used to be a sticky.

You can find these via my signature any time you see it or...

..you can use the Indexed Collections link in the Start Here Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-
