I assume the designer plans are the one on the photo bucket, along side the photo of what you ended up with.

What is this surveyor plans they talk about? Do you have a copy of that that you can show us, and did you sign it to agree?

Clearly you have not got what you paid and asked for!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • The first photo is from the plan and the second is what they installed. On the plan there will always be a line on the side as the side panels cannot go to 3m so there will be a join as you have to use two pieces of wood.

I also have issues with the "Unfortunately, it is not possible to emit these division panels" as I see it as bull s**t. For them to admit this of course would make them look very foolish. Come on and admit you made a mistake and just put it right.

But their email talks about a designer plan, and a surveyor plan. Are there TWO separate plans????

Clearly it doesnt match the designer plan as shown, but what is this surveyor plan that they say it DOES match??

I think focussing on this aspect may end up making things more difficult. If they claim it's not possible to omit the panels, just tell them to remove the wardrobes and refund you.

That is just what the OP asked for in one of his emails:
I am sorry to hear this. Not having this panel was part of the design I ordered and therefore you are in breach of contract.

Can I have a full refund and you can remove the wardrobes.

Having seen the plans and the actual wardrobes I wouldn't be happy either. It looks awful doesn't it? I'd want them out as well.

They keep sending me invoice reminders for the remainder of the money.

My next step will be trading standards, I came here first just to see if I was not going mad and they were correct.

You are looking at the surveyor's plan (salesman plan was not good. did not know how to change the design in software).

I would assume the 'separator' piece is in fact the top of the wardrobe / bottom of the top cupboards, & that with their standard units are unable to hide it behind the doors.

Realistically, if you want something 'fitted', it means it's a complete one-off, & so you need a carpenter, not a furniture shop.

Can you PLEASE answer my previous question, which is important.

You have showed us an image of the designer's plan, vs what they built, but their email to you states:

I have reviewed your Designers plans as well as your Surveyors plans. Certainly it is evident that the Designer had left out the division panel in the top boxes of both wardrobe installations. This has been changed on the Surveyors plans, and the thin strip has been replaced with the standard division panel which is what has been fitted.

It clearly refers to both DESIGNER plans and SURVEYOR plans.

    1. Have you seen the SURVEYOR plans?

    2. Can you post a photo showing the SURVEYOR plans?

    3. Does the documentation you signed refer to the DESIGNER plans or SURVEYOR plans?

  • Have added the designer and detail of the join.

How hammonds works. The designer comes & does a design and does a plan. My designer did not know how to use the software enough to remove the separator and told me the plans will be corrected by the surveyor. The Surveyor then comes & remeasure and check the designer plan. He started again created new plans. It it the surveyor plan that is the most accurate.

    New Photo

As you can see the separator sit between the top of the bottom wardrobe and top set of cupboards.
