I remember delivered milk.............:D
Yes, it isn't as cheap as supermarket but I have to say that I like to think I'm doing my bit to keeping a service going in a rural area...one day when I'm less mobile I may be glad of it! And they now sell so much stuff and take orders till 9pm the night before, so great if suddenly run out of something, it will be on the doorstep before I get up.
Spent large amounts of time with MIL, starting with picking her up to take to eye clinic. After lots of time and ultimately money, I found a parking space at hosp. She was out after a short time; as we suspected, she didn't need this appt but they'd made a **** up and sent it to her; she'd already had this one (pre-cataract op assessment). Went to Mr S on the way home. It's great that she is now walking better after her fall, but it takes forever as understandably (having been confined to the house for weeks) she wants to look at everything.....slowly. I awarded us a cappuccino in the cafe afterwards.
Dropped her off, came home, unpacked groceries then...ah,,,,,,sat in conservatory with Candy Crush and lunch. Oops. At least I wrote a bit of a report earlier.
Remembered to post letter.
Collected Pasha theatre tickets.
Checked off incoming post and emails.
Had put out what I thought was greengages to defrost.....now looks more like mushrooms and celery! rather odd combination; ratatouille? I don't recall freezing it. So it'll be fruit salad for dinner, or I'll pick some rhubarb.
Into garden next before it rains.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Wolf's Lair resembles the corporation tip - we have clothes strewn everywhere, half-packed cases, and I'm in a major stress. Why, oh why do I bother with holidays??
Ah you'll love it once you are there looking at all those lovely peace-inducing fjords. Have a great time.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Narco mil still has a milk man but he only delivers twice a week "as its not worth coming to her area every day just for the old ones" so she gets two bottles twice a week. She has silver top so you have to wrestle it out of the bottle.
Nurse said my ecg looked fine but told me dr wanted to see me anyway so I'm going back next week.
Just filled the bird feeders up and toped my potato plants up with more straw, they are at the top of the tubs now.
Just going to load the wm the I'll get on with some of the list.SPC~12 ot 124

1 pint of milk from the milkman here costs the same as 4 pints from the corner shop! I'm all for helping local businesses but that is daylight robbery!
I've got the arm holes to finish on this romper and thats another thing to add to my huge bag of 'needs sewing up and buttons' bag of unfinished projects.. I need to get my act together! I have knitted a hat along side it too.. I've been busy working for most of the day, or juggling washing (which once again is all cleared
), so I thought while I waited for DD to get in and before I go out to work I'd paint my nails in a new colour thats coming out (show to the customer kind of idea
)....well its horrible imo so I'm sending it back :rotfl: Just going to take it off, have tea and head out to work for the chasing up. I have a whole heap of admin to do tomorrow which I am not looking forward to.
See you later to catch up properly and sort my list for tomorrow :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
<<<<<scream rant swear cry aarrrggghhh>>>>>
Does anyone want my "delightful" children? I have just sent them both to bed in disgrace. And I'm hopping mad! I've removed all her barbie dolls, they are going in the loft. She would rather live with granny (presumably because she can do as she pleases, gets whatever she wants and can behave appallingly). They have both ignored everything I've asked them to do tonight (well for about 2 weeks really
) and they have pushed me too far.
I'm raging.
And after all that from her, and me explaining I will not have that behaviour in my house, and sending her to bed, I then asked DS to go put his teddies back on his bed (after I had put clean covers on). And I go in his room to find the teddies still on the floor and he's climbed on a stool and is faffing with something hung on his wall. So he's had his bedtime book confiscated and told to put himself to bed too.
Aaaaaaannndddd breathe....
In other news. I have flown. Upstairs is all done, apart from now the bag or barbie stuff to go in the loft. Bathrooms cleaned, inc floors, 3 beds stripped and remade, dusting and vaccing complete.
I may need to do some rage-flinging too :eek:Bossymoo

Bossy.. I think it has been a really long boring half term.. 7 weeks here and they are all just shattered and ready for a break.. They always want to live with someone else .. but what they don't realise is that after a few days granny or auntie or best friend will put a stop to the 'doing as you please' too.. it might be worth telling the relevant grandparent in front of them so they can be shocked and upset by their pestiness too.. Squeak is always put off by the threat of the video and 'I'll put it in facebook so granny can see you are being naughty' ... lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Thanks pigpen and ATB I've calmed down a bit now. I just had to get her out of my sight!
I told her a few days without toys or tv might be in order. I wouldn't mind - we did her a behaviour chart a week ago which she seems to have forgotten about. Might hit home if I start ignoring her, and pretending I didn't hear her ask for milk or dinner or whatever. Maybe I'll go on strike.
Earlier she said she needed the toilet - I said "go then???" And she asked which one - I said "that one in the room with the big bath!" So she walked past it, to go through my room, into my bathroom. Just, why? Next thing it's "I can't wipe my bottom" then leans, pants round her ankles, on my freshly made bed! !!!!!!! She's nearly 6, we shouldn't be wiping dirty crappola around the house!
Now I'm winding myself up again. Gah!Bossymoo
