youravinalarrrf said:Prices finally updated to October prices in the online Octopus Dashboard yesterday however prices set in In Home Device have not been updated yet and are still on Pre October prices. How much longer before Octopus get their act together and update these?I assume I'm not the only one?
Recently my correspondence to Octopus was consistently ignored until I sent an email to their CEO, Greg Jackson.
Two hours later I received a response. And some compensation.
So all in all, I'm quite pleased with Octopus at the moment. Although I have started now to pay on receipt of my monthly bill, which is much better for me as I don't want their bank account to be in credit and they do not penalise anyone for not paying by DD.
I think they will just credit the £67 as and when. They have the whole of October to do it so why should they pay us at the beginning of the month when they can accumulate interest on the lump sum? Not being cynical here.
But generally I think that Octopus is probably the best of a bad bunch. There's not much to choose between any of the energy companies right now.
I've never won on their wheel spinning thing either. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Must say Octopus customer service was good but now poor. As I'm on a fix I need to know what the capped gas tariff is so I can decide whether to stay fixed or go capped. Have asked for info several times but have no answer. I have the electricity capped tariff, which to my surprise is different to the EPG, but no gas tariff.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0

@caveat_emptor - agreed - I've had no answer to my emails after 9 days, let's hope it's just a temporary blip and their normally excellent service is resumed soon.0

Does anyone understand the logic behind the way Octopus is implementing the £400 government help towards energy bills? They have reduced my monthly DD by £67 and then predicted the horrendous debt which that change would generate over the next year.
Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
