v2 - Product cap increased to max 11pkWh - SC stayed same - You can see todays rate on your dashboard -
v3 - SC increased as well as max 11pkWh product capI'm not on Tracker (long, ongoing story...), but I thought the launch of v3 was how they increased both SC & the unit rates' cap, while previous Tracker versions remained as they were, but apparently not?

Tracker was originally uncapped. The cap was introduced as a gesture of good will, not a contractual term.SJMALBA said:bristolleedsfan said:SJMALBA said:I thought that Tracker v2 has (had?) a capped gas unit rate of 6p/kWh?

Tracker v1 is showing 6p/kWh today, compared to 6.96p/kWh for v2 and v3 - does v1 still have the lower cap, then?

Lucky v1 customers!
BTW, was the orginal verison of Tracker ever called simply 'Tracker', or has it always been called 'Tracker v1'?1 -

I'm interested in the Octopus Tracker as my hapiness with EDF is being tested quite severly!I do not currently have any smart meters. I would only have my gas with Octopus if I switched it to them. So, is it the case that I can't have a gas smart meter without first having an electric smart meter fitted? Is it still (with a risk) a good idea to be on this tracker without a smart meter? Or is it really better to have the smart meter for more acurate pricing on this tarrif? Also, can I pay variable monthly billing on this tarrif?0

Yes can ask to pay by variable direct debit - Statement/Bill each time meter reading is submittedNorthern_Wanderer said:I'm interested in the Octopus Tracker as my hapiness with EDF is being tested quite severly!I do not currently have any smart meters. Yes need electricity smart meter in order to have gas smart meter
Only apparent difference having smart meter for tracker is on any very low kwh days get the benefit if use fuel more on those days

Not sure whether Octopus will allow you to only switch gas, though.bristolleedsfan said:
