Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 7th Sept. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Morning all..............(((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) if you need one...
This is getting a bit boring, have not been to sleep so decided to get up and have a surf for an hour or so, then see if I can get back to sleep.
Have to pay a visit to our councillor tomorrow the HB people seem to have b******d up our benefit again.............they are asking for money back from April and yet we were only in in May with all our details for the year....pain in the butt. Its time they gave us a decent pension to live on then we would not have this trouble every year.

Morning. Woke up early. A tad excited as it's a fishing day!!!:j .
I have organised a big boat fishing competition out of Newquay, so am looking forward to that.
The weather looks great and so everything is set.
There have been a few annoying things though, like people dropping out last minute. That is a real pain in the butt as it affects the financial aspect of the competition as I had already purchased the cups and prizes.
Still great day to come...
Spent all day in Newbury yesterday on a job. Interesting place, but I have to say that the Sainsbury's breakfast was crap! The coffee machine had broken down too and they were charging full price for a teaspoon of instant coffee from the jar!. I think I will complain.#
Well I must go and get my tackle out. (Wha-hay a cheap sexual inuendo)
I hope I win one of my own prizes!NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Goodmorning everyone,

I spoke to him on the phone last night and after our little chat he said *kissy granny* and kissed the phone a few times. The little sweety. :kisses3:
Csarina Hope you get it sorted out with your councillor.

Morning Guys!
Feeling a little better today.
N9eav-I would complain about the breakfast. I have done this before and got a voucher through for £10.00.
WM is on. Washed 2 pairs of trainers last night too as they were grotty. Toilet has been scrubbed and the DW is half full. House is pretty clean and tidy as it was only done yesterday.
All the 14 bags of clothes were picked up from Freecycle along with the washing powder. I will advertise the bike again in a while and also have a garden hammock to place on there.
I am meeting what sounds like a lovely young mum over the weekend to help me out with the ironing and some jobs around the house on a Monday. She is very local and has a disabled mum, so understands my frustrations. Her baby is 4 weeks old and has asked if she can bring her along. I said it should be OK, but I will have to check my insurance as I dont want to be liable for anything.
OH & I are going through our wardrobes later, as there are many old clothes that we dont like or will never wear again. Also have to call GP about a new injection I need and send a cheque off to an Ebayer.
Have been invited to a girls night out next Friday and a leaving do on the Saturday. May have to skip one if not very well and it will probably be the girls nght out as OH cant go and he is the one who looks after me and knows when Im not good etc. Its a shame, but its life I suppose. My friends will be fine or they may allow him to go...which wouldnt wish on any male:eek:
Dinner tonight is Scampi, chips and salad.
Anyway, hope everyone is well. Hugs to all.

Happy fishing N9eav, hope the weather holds for you
Cloudy here, but the weather girl says this will burn off and be nice later, how come I believe her when it's good news, but ignore the bad weather warnings
Shopping today, but am really going to think before buying anything. My car was poorly last week, and I didn't go shopping, but didn't miss anything, so that should tell me something;)
Car was fixed yesterday, and the guy at the garage said I was lucky my wheel didn't fall off as the suspension arm was badly rotted
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Got up early to take my bin out... and if some filthy devil takes it this time i will blow a gasget:mad: .... last week when i fetched it in i was talking to a woman a couple of doors down - saying that some dirty disgusting mare had taken mine the week before and left me an absolutely manky think that had a couple of months worth of junkfood welded to it, which i knew wast mine as i dont buy junk food, bag up everything and wash the bin every week....getting that one clean wasn't easy - guess where hubby has just spotted a original bin with our number on it !!!! :rotfl: we now have 2 bins with our number on it on the street -and if they swap it back i will commit terrible crimes...rant over..cant believe i have such a bee in my bonnet over a bin

Good Morning all!
not much doing here. It is my 2nd yearly anniversary today.
Let me explain.
When we got married, we had 2 ceremonies, one on April 23 with just 6 guests, and one on Sept 7 with the whole palaver, horse + carriage, crying mums, reception in a garden...... so we have 2 wedding anniversaries a year.
Oh, got dinner guests coming tonight, making pork medalions in mushoom sauce, roasted new pots veg and creme brulee. I'll remember to add the sugar this time!
