I don't think there is much you can do, besides forgetting it and trying to move on.

However, I'm really surprised by the behaviour of the Police, given the background with your neighbour (which they should have been aware of prior to arriving on your doorstep.) Co-operating with them doesn't mean allowing them to wake children when you have provided proof that the claims could not be true. In hindsight, a call back the following day to speak to them would have been appropriate. How upsetting for your children to be disturbed in this way, so late at night.

I'm not even sure I'd answer the door at 9.30pm, and would be assuming a close relative had died in a car accident or something if I saw it was the Police.

I nearly forgot that I popped on the thread to see if Mimi had updated. I hope your DD has forgotten about it Mimi. and that the neighbour has had a stiff warning from the police and will leave you alone.

Thank you so much - now you are joining your ORIGINAL username on my ignore list. Says a lot that you have to make up names to get on this forum and I am still here, doesn't it?

It also says a lot that no matter how many posts get deleted, some people will still remember shocking things that have been posted on here.

Alter Ego, some people get repeatedly banned and come back again and again. They are often recognisable by their posting styles or by the fact that they have in depth knowledge of threads and posts that happened years before they joined MSE. Both apply to 'Homeownertobe'.

Posts that happened years ago? It was about six months ago on a 'discussion time' thread.

If you'd care to look, I've been here almost three years.

You have a list of provable lies - added to the latest complaint to the NSPCC.

Lying in itself is not the offence (other than if under oath or caution and then there is a chance to just claim confusion) - it's the use of lies and official resources with the sole purpose to harass and intimidate.

Make a formal complaint to the police about harassment AND also see a solicitor.

She won't stop and this is not a great environment for your kids with this hanging over you.

You need to hit this head-on now BUT do it legally and non-confrontationally.

Why is the school involved by the way? Are either of you employees? I just find it strange to involve others in the dispute.

The thing that started all of this happened in school (Her DD was upset with my DD and it resulted in her DD having hold of mine)

I took the police incident number into school (From the threats I had in front of my children) and let them know the kids had fallen out. School then spoke to the mother and said they weren't happy to have her "helping" at school and it all went on from there. The mother never said anything to me outside of school when she saw me on her own (She'd put her head down and literally run home) but whenever we was at school (She has a Clique, I don't) she'd start swearing etc. She then encouraged her 3 kids to pick on both of mine (Her kids are 11, 8 and 6. Mine are 8 and 4) so school got more involved but not necessarily doing things right. For instance - the 6 year old is picking on my 4 year old (Latest was he tried to hit her with a branch that had fallen off a tree whilst his mum stood watching) school "had a word" about it with the boy, but didn't inform the mother. School said that because it was "after school" (Kids were just coming out the door at 15:20) it wasn't a school problem, even though it was on their premises.

I meant to say - I called the police commissioners office, explained to a lady there what had happened and was told I'd get a call back.

Haven't had one yet, It's been a week now :(

Start writing things, a paper trail is much harder to ignore

    *UPDATE*

I'm not sure whether to be happy, or annoyed but.... I've been reported for Benefit fraud now (Another lie - I've just printed off all the paperwork to send to HMRC to prove this - I get WTC/CTC until September when my youngest starts "Gov funded full time school")

    BUT

This is now a second incident and the police are coming to take a statement !!!!!!

(I do however need to find out... tax credits - any one know when I call them to stop claiming? I don't pay for the school holidays so whilst DD starts in sept, my childcare will actually stop at the 6 weeks holiday - I assume I call them in July but someone said its Sept because it's done over xxx weeks of the year?! that doesn't sound right to me)

Re tax credits: 'Phone them and ask.

Re upcoming Police interview: Have all your proof of previous malicious reports to hand. Suggest to the officer that if this latest report originates from the same person, it is time to involve mental health services for the protection of said originator's children..
