Clearly it doesn't matter at all to me and the poster below :rotfl:

You've misunderstood me. I was referring to does it matter whether I posted this.

And where did I say that this was my only problem in life???

Why make such comments. Just unnecessary

How do you address a formal letter? To me it sounds wrong without a title.

The only people who address me as Ms Rosemary7391 haven't bothered to ask and think it's a 'safe' option. Yet they've somehow established I'm female!

I was referring to being addressed in person not in a letter.

You didn't say you only wanted selective replies. :D

Just curious - in what circumstances are women asked for their title?

I can't recollect the last time anyone asked me.

I get annoyed at being addressed as Mrs

I always reply that Mrs is his mother and my name is Suki :)

I always introduce myself by my first name only.

The only thing more annoying to me being called Mrs ( in the name game of life that is) is being called M'am by certain call centre staff at least 10 times a minute

    Really?

So when I filled in my passport renewal form and it gave me the choice of:
    Mr
    Mrs
    Ms
    Miss
    Master
    Other
it's something that some people get annoyed about? smiley-confused005.gif

I really don't give it a second thought.

I've been asked twice today. Making an appointment for an eye test and to view a house. :)

    So what is your response?

If it was one of my per hates I'd ask 'Why do you need to know that piece of information about me?'

Isn't the whole title thing superfluous? I mean were in the 21st Century here.

    Name. Gender. That's it really.

A previous poster stated they didn't like being called by their first name by people they don't know. I know what they mean.
"An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

    !!!!!! is all that about?
