Yup. Didn't mind so much when I was much younger as miss seemed OK, but now I wouldn't want someone to know me as miss or Mrs. I don't like how it specifies marriage situation plus the connotation that miss seems to have ...

Not really. I like being Mrs Tam, and I don't see the problem.

I don't mind if they ask what title I prefer. I do mind if they ask "Is it Miss or Mrs?"

It doesn't annoy me at all.

I don't mind at all provided my title is there. I once had to choose from a list of 'Mr, Mrs, Dr, Prof'... edit: I think they had Ms on there too - it was awhile ago. I'm definitely a Miss though!

Person_one, that would annoy me too and even more so in a few years with any luck (currently studying for my PhD).

I don't mind at all if it helps with drafting formal correspondence - example Ms tygermoth- I hate it where i am just referred to by my given name alone such as 'Hi tyger'

I don't know why it makes my teeth grit and i want to shout at them - i don't know you, you are not my 'mate' you are my car insurer or electricity supplier. We are not buddies!
Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...

    What's wrong with Ms?

And as a man, I am often asked for my title.
