Whilst it might be very PC to say that these children are at risk.
In all likelihood these teens have seen worse, said worse and heard worse.
The police have clearly decided NFA, and frankly I cant see the OPs motives being the protection of those children (though it does help now to say this)
You should hear some of the young teens on xbox etc. 13 and make a sailor blush.
This is all rose tinted, my little darling angel stuff.0 -
Well the police have put your mind at ease now, all those children are safe and well.
Equally you shouldn't have to tell an adult - don't let your child use inappropriate social media... should you?
I don't think it's 'equal' at all. The images that were being shared with him actually wouldn't be allowed on facebook proper. They would have been censored by FB. The only reason they got to him was because they were being shared via private message. If Facebook had not been in the picture Sam's dad could have shared them by text. Or in person, which he did.
For a few months now he's been saying 'oh boys, look at this joke I found' and then showing them memes about p**dophilia or gang r*pe on his own phone. If this had not spilled over to the FB then I wouldn't have known that that was happening.
So in a way I am glad that he had FB and that I was monitoring it. I only regret that I didn't monitor it more frequently.0 -

So something light hearted that teens might say and laugh about, taken to an extreme. For example a joke about Adam Johnson could be considered !!!!!phile related.

Shame your son didn't feel confident in talking to you about all these 'horrible' stuff.
I think that should be your priority.0 -

Thank you. I keep trying to point this out.
One of the teens, aged 15, started sharing pictures of his girlfriend towards the end of the conversation. I don't know how old this girl was but the images were getting a bit 'near the bone' and Sam's dad was encouraging him to have sex with her and be abusive to her. I don't know this kid, but I believe he has a 'real life' relationship with Sam's dad of some kind.
Sam's dad used to like to sleep with 16/17 year old girls when we were married. I dunno.0 -

Your anti woman stance is showing again.
Whereas the OP seems to have made mistakes in allowing her son FB access, that is nowhere near as important as what the father's been up to.
I also find it worrying that you should think that this sort of thing is normal - even in this day and age it really isn't and attempting to normalise it is part of the problem.0 -

How is that relevant?0 -
missbiggles1 wrote: »Your anti woman stance is showing again. - Just anti-stupidity. Frankly the OP can be any gender. There's no point defending every woman who posts here by saying I'm anti-female, that's just ridiculous.

Teenagers looking at !!!!!! and making crass comments? I mean really, you think that's not normal? Wake up and smell the roses.
But we're not talking about this are we? We're talking about a grown man showing his own pre teenage son and unrelated teenage boys hard !!!!!! and "images of hacked up bodies and people hanging", also "encouraging one of the boys (15) to have sex with girls" and that's on top of some exceedingly worrying "jokes".
If you think that's normal, you're one sick puppy!0 -

I don't understand this comment who or what is darling angel stuff?Teenagers looking at !!!!!! and making crass comments? I mean really, you think that's not normal? Wake up and smell the roses.
Are you deliberately misreading this? This was not teenagers looking at p*rn and making crass comments was it? If it was it would be normal. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0
